  1. Past hour
  2. Longest FG in wny history maybe even NYS HS history And yeah that kid had a leg
  3. I agree that he plays really small. It was quite noticeable right away.
  4. I feel like that’s the story more and more with kids in states that don’t have spring football. The south and west coast just dominate recruiting. Even the freshman RB Bo Jackson that we have now at OSU; he’s from Cleveland and that was actually surprising. Most of our skill players are from Texas, Florida, Cali Yes! Wow that name was in an archive somewhere in my brain. He was pretty good. But I think he got injured
  5. I think we still win the division but this year feels different. The pats are legit good and Maye is the real deal. The year when Miami had the division it took perfection from the Bills and an epic collapse from Miami. We kind of knew Miami would collapse though. The Pats have a soft ass schedule.
  6. Would love to see it. I also think Javon Salomon has the build, athleticism and aggression for that role.
  7. Blake haubel He started like 2 years at Ohio state
  8. yeah this board expects too much... let the darn season play out people
  9. Many years ago ohio state recruited doug worthington out of st francis. The story was that our HC at the time, Jim Tressel, was college roommates with ilios dipaolos son. He would come to buffalo sometimes and ended up at a couple st francis games. There was also a kicker from canisius that came to osu a few years ago. I cant remember his name but he was the #1 HS kicker in the country at the time. Paul woods out of canisius was highly recruited but I believe ended up at Rutgers RIP. His son is at ohio state now.
  10. Keon's played in 3 less games and 40 less targets and has only 54 yards and 1 TD less receiving than Xavier Worthy 2 less games with 23 less targets and 162 more yards and as many TDs as Xavier Legette aka the two picks that he was traded for that and were drafted above him. I'm guessing we should have stayed put and drafted with of them instead?
  11. He'll be fine. Classic year 3 breakout. No pro bowler there, but he should be OK by yr 3
  12. phil mcconkey came out of Canisius as well. I remember missing a tackle on him that went for six as I recall..... long time ago
  13. So Hall of Fame semi-finalist. Excellent. This type of pick is why Beane is considered a wizard by the smartest football people.
  14. ….or point. That works pretty good with menus, but it can get you in trouble with people. That’s your public safety announcement for the day.
  15. That's why the media is reliable. Finding and teef will accept nothing less!
  16. Drink water, wear shorts and a hat, park in the stadium. Find a nice Cuban restaurant. Order the Vaca Frita.
  17. I'm still trying to go through Beane's brain here. "Ok guys. Allen exploded when he had a smaller type WR who can create instant separation. We know Josh is a visual thrower who needs to see the separation before pulling the trigger. Let's get the exact opposite WR."
  18. Well yes but I was specifically talking Buffalo and the suburbs Rochester actually puts out higher level of division 1 football players per capita than buffalo And that was my point there's a decent amount of division one talent but most of it is FCS.. we do get two star players and three star players in Buffalo But I can't remember the last four star player off the top of my head who stayed all four years in Buffalo And you're talking about Messiah Hampton who is the number one player in the state this year
  19. The difference between Moulds and Coleman is, nowadays you can mostly determine if a player is a bust quicker. Coleman will get more chances than he may deserve. He most likely will be a mid or lower level NFL receiver who may need a change of scenery with lowered expectations to find bis niche.
  20. While I agree that Josh was able to do something that you don't generally see, I don't think it's a comparable situation. He had an Elite bag of tools to work with. Keon is physically limited. There's nothing that can be done about his speed (or lack thereof) or his body type. Even if he became bigger and stronger, it would just serve to make him even slower.
  21. Monroe High School in Rochester also has a 4 star WR committed to Oregon. Some years in New York State is stronger than others but a lot of FCS/D2 talent and it’s been that way for years. Occasionally you’ll get a big time kid or two
  22. That's just an amazing classic that will never be forgotten. My sister-in-law hates it when I mention it. She rolls her eyes and reminds me that the Jets have won a Superbowl. Ugh.
  23. Mostly his inability to get open. Matt Harmon did a whole thing on him pre-draft and basically said “guys like that almost never succeed.” It didn’t mean it was impossible. The Bills just did it with Josh but it was an extreme long shot. Lightning didn’t strike twice.
  24. I mean, his absolute ceiling is Hines Ward. I doubt he ever works as hard to achieve it because he came in feeling anointed. After this season he will be at a crossroads and it will be up to him where he ends.
  25. Travis Henry says "step your game up!"
