I dont understand the criticism the Jets are getting here. If the Bills had drafted the wrong Josh, would they have not given White and Oliver contract extensions? I thought the idea was to draft well and sign your own guys. Of course everyone wants to get a QB, but you dont let good to great players out of your franchise. I'd be fine arguing that neither of these guys are the best at their respectove positions and that the Jets overpaid. That's a fair and valid argument.

If that's correct, returning to school makes no sense because he still belongs to the Bengals next year.

That was my guess too. Hopefully they already know what it is and aren’t waiting on an MRI or anything like that.

It gives them the flexibility to sit him down longer if need be and bring another body in. Who the body is remains to be seen.

But he was on the field in most packages

Wouldn’t it just make more sense to give in to whatever small demand I’m sure the Bengals won’t give in on, sign the contract, prove your worth, and hit NFL free agency a year sooner?
