Way too early look at the 2026 draft
machine gun kelly replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
Al, I don’t mind taking a peak at a 26 draft with the caveat that so many things change in 8 months. For me it’s a safety on defense, and a WR on offense. I believe Beane knows what he has in a top O Line so why mess that up? There’s always a way to restructure some people to get McGovern a decent salary or heavier signing bonus to keep the salary lower. The player doesn’t care as long as the $ is competitive. -
Bills Defense, will it get better as season goes on

This. Has a chance to improve when players come back, but there's been a trend of coming up small in big moments. I think they've played reasonably well so far given the injuries and new faces. -

To me, we’ll beat the Aints in our sleep, so the IR guys will be eligible, and the suspended guys will be eligible after the bye. The Panthers will be a tune up for Hoecht, and Ogunjobi. I’m looking forward to seeing Hairston with that blazing speed get up to speed in the Cheats game. So to the original question, we’ll see how the team comes together beginning with the Chiefs. I’m optimistic barring more injuries. -
Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
Ayjent replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m just glad one of them will be 1-3. I think the Ravens lose again because they just have been self-destructing on offense in tight games, and their defense comes out swinging hard and talking loud, but then goes to getting handled in the big moments late in the game. They are a team that can play well with a big lead but tends to wilt in dogfights. The Lions stuck with the run after getting stuffed early and then ended up running all over their asses. They may get up early on the Chiefs and blow them out too, but I think KC is going to bring a lot of pressure at Lamar like they did in AFCCG in 2023 season and don’t think the Ravens will respond well. I think the Lions came out and showed that they are still a NFC powerhouse, and it’s entirely possible to expose their D. -
Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
Matt_In_NH replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Correlation vs causation. Change correlation to cause and see what the answer is. -
Because Mike McDaniel has issues at times with his clock management and anticipating ahead when to use timeouts. Additionally, if we have our timeouts still in pocket we can use them to reset the D if needed on those last plays. If the ball had been back at the 35-45 or inside the 15 with 55 seconds left, sure, try and preserve time for Josh. Instead, if we let Miami play it out, it's not unreasonable to assume that Miami converts the third and 7 but has 15- 20 seconds on the clock and burned at least one timeout. Now we have better control of that situation than what occurred. McDaniel is under more pressure to take the FG and we didn't give him two timeouts up front to help settle him and make plans.

I’m just watching the recap of last night’s game as admittedly fell asleep during the game. Wow, what a game. As far as the Chiefs/Ravens, I look at it as one will have three losses so always a good thing. I have a feeling the Ravens will win. They are just too talented and the Chiefs are starting to look old.

Ravens. Then we beat the Chiefs for their 3rd or more loss. And the Bills are then at least 3 games up on both (with the win at KC). -
Aren't they all?

F thay mentality! This whole notion that we would have to beat KC and every other top team to validate our team is just ridiculous. If we made the SB, would it only matter if we face Philly? We don’t have to banish any demons to legitimize anything. Just win! I’m not sure who I want to lose… but no way I can cheer for KC. Go Bills! - Today

Bills Defense, will it get better as season goes on
H2o replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have full faith in the younger players getting better on the DL. Walker has shown flashes ready. I expect Sanders to get more acclimated in his role as time goes along. Not sure what the PED guys will add. I hope Hairston gets healthy and get some run on the outside, but I have my doubts with all the time he's missed. He's a rookie and he's been on the sidelines since August. I don't have much faith in McDermott putting him out there. We're running with 3 LB's this year more than I can remember in years past. I'll take it because we have been quite poor against the run previously. Still, it is a shift in philosophy a bit so I expect them to get better with their assignments as the year goes along. Health will be the key. The more these guys play together, the more things will begin to click. Still, we need our key players to be healthy when it matters. Oliver, Bosa, Bernard, Benford, Groot, Walker, we need the guys we are relying on. If that happens, as well as on the offensive side of the ball, I expect us to make another deep run in the Playoffs. -

DD I didn’t think of that as trolling. Tome trolling is a hidden Fins, Jet’s, or any other team fan who pretends to be a Bills fan, but really is passive aggressive and tries to create doubt in our fans about our team. It’s a waste of time as these guys reveal themselves pretty quick and our loyal fan base figures them out. It doesn’t matter. I think Hondo is a realBills fan who was probably sick of all the looking at the glass half empty for every single, and are in the McD haters club. They have every right to state however they feel about their team, but it’s a depressing way to go through life. I appreciate pragmatic fans who’s the good and bad and place into context. Bottom line is to each his own. -

0-0 tie with a lot of injuries -
I vote for the meteor ... or the refs Failing that, much as the pleasure of watching the Chefs lose would be great, I am hoping (in a 51-49% sort of way) for them to win as I think that they have a tougher road to win their division that the Ravens (and neither the Bengals - with or without Burrow - nor the Steelers scare me particularly).

Looks I was wrong about Joe Biden being the smartest and most talented Democrat of all time... Kamal Harris is a level of political genius far above even him... Harris as POTUS in 2028 would be a gift not just to America... But the entire world... And elsewhere...

Bills Defense, will it get better as season goes on

It is worth saying now that the entire league has played 3 games that the Bills are 9th in total defense (which is officially measured by yards). They are 20th in points given up and 23rd on 3rd down. I expect the soft schedule to help improve those rankings over the next few weeks, but at the same time I think it gives you a sense of what this defense's issue is: They are vulnerable to long drives - they either get you off the field early or you can rumble right on down. -
