  1. Past hour
  2. I know people are saying the sample size is too small, but I disagree. This is year 2 under Babich, and so far, it's been a disappointment. I understand that the anti-McDermott crowd will simply point to him. However, I will point to the one time he took over play calling duties from Leslie Frazier, and how it was instantly better. Calling plays on defense, is no different than calling plays on offense. It's not so much what you call, but when you call it. I'm OK with Babich stumbling his way through the reg season, as long as McDermott is willing and able to take over in the playoffs.
  3. …and I’d bet that some of our “fans” will do just that, because they are upset and want things their way and they are sure their way is the right way.
  4. and that is what makes this board great... if we all thought alike how boring would this be lol.... I think I elaborated on why I dont think a pass for babich is right... you do not agree... fair enough... heck I am not even pointing and saying I am right and you are wrong.... (I understand nor are you) hey I could be dead wrong here.... but I don't think I am... time will tell as it always does... thanks for the good discussion!
  5. As long as the liberals (people not in a cult) are upset how can he be bad? Thats the new America.
  6. Gotta practice good URL hygiene, clean that sucker up: https://www.foxnews.com/sports/shedeur-sanders-mom-fires-back-ex-nfl-coach-after-critical-comments
  7. I expect the Falcons game to be a shootout, similar to the Rams and Lions indoor games last year…will be fun to watch.
  8. Here you go... I'll believe it when I see it. If he comes back, he (a) gets lauded for his toughness and (b) has a built-in excuse if things go sideways. If he doesn't come back, it'll be excused as "they've had so many injuries, season's over anyway." He may not have an agent, but he's got a great PR team. Not sure they can beat them with Lamar IN on top of all the other injuries, either.
  9. What he said was accurate. I doubt you are in any position to know anything about "evil people" serving as SECDEF. Not sure "evil" is the right word, but Robert McNamara in the LBJ admin was responsible for countless deaths and complete erosion of our military.
  10. Fair to criticize a defense that consistently crumbles in the playoffs when no significant changes have been made. It’s the same scheme of undersized back 7 guys with very few who can play man coverage. So we get the same complicated coverage schemes with undersized players who get gashed in the run game and torched by the elite QB’s. I actually am positive on the D Line. It’s the back 7 and scheme that remains the problem.

  12. Fair point. But the Bills are still 11th in D despite a banged-up, average roster. And by taking the path of least resistance, opponents are not keeping up. Running against us has proven to be a losing strategy. We're outgaining and outscoring our opponents. To some extent, this is by design. When I was a kid, a nickel or dime defense was called "pass prevent." This year, we've been running nickel and dime about 80% of the time. In other words, we're almost always in "pass prevent."
  13. If his mom had stayed quiet I wouldn’t of even known how bad he sucks…
  14. There are scores of these flag positions that are social program related that I doubt will survive the next few years.
  15. What’s the rush to dump this guy when he’s working with substandard personnel. You must agree that getting pressure with their front four without Oliver is not possible so Babich is starting to bring Bernard, Thompson and even Bishop. That paid dividends against the Saints and Miami. He’s missed a great run defender and tackler with superior diagnostic instincts in Milano. Tre is giving a great effort but he’s going to struggle against top receivers( Hill, Shaheen, Flowers, etc) I like the idea of stopping teams when the game is on the line. In the Ravens miracle we stopped them and turned them over to make Josh’s comeback possible. Against Miami, who played their best game, we turned them over and got pressure on Tua when they were on the verge of taking the lead. Same thing with NO, they went 4 and out with the game on the line. At the end of the 1st half. Bishop got a TO to get us momentum. He was put in a position by Babich’s defense to make a big play. If you believe that this defense will improve with the PED boys, Oliver,Milano and Hairston, it’s worth giving Babich a pass.
  16. Now that's cool. The NFL should have games where both teams play in throwbacks more often. It's fun. And yes, the Seahawks really need to go back to their original AFC look.
  17. Yeah I’m sure that’s exactly what Pete meant. News flash: he’s one of the dumbest, most evil people to ever serve in office like this.
  18. They can't beat Texans or Rams with Lamar out on top of all the other injuries. I know their schedule gets easier but 1-5 is quite the hole to dig out of. They can only afford maybe 2 losses in their last 11 games and there's no guarantee some of these injured players will come back the same.
  19. I am not a Babich fan, but I also think firing him isn't going to turn it around this season. The root cause comes down to the roster - they assembled a group of fragile "high motor" guys that have a tendency to get hurt at the expense of putting hard hitting, physical players on defense. This has been McDermott's MO on defense since he arrived. Dorsey got fired because he had an MVP in Allen on the roster and they were not playing to their potential. Can you really say that Babich's defense is bursting with talent? Milano, Oliver, and Daquan Jones are the top three paid defensive players this year. Not exactly elite level talent. This is unfortunately a problem that has to be addressed in the offseason.
  20. And Rex Ryan is fat too https://www-foxnews-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.foxnews.com/sports/shedeur-sanders-mom-fires-back-ex-nfl-coach-after-critical-comments.amp?amp_gsa=1&amp_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIUAKwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=17592545436701&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.foxnews.com%2Fsports%2Fshedeur-sanders-mom-fires-back-ex-nfl-coach-after-critical-comments
  21. DISPATCHES FROM THE INTERSECTION OF RADICAL CHIC AND THE EDUCATION APOCALYPSE: The Chicago Teachers Union Is Exactly Who You Thought They Were. If you spend any time on social media, you have likely heard about the latest outrage from my city’s Cthulhu-like public sector behemoth, the Chicago Teachers Union: On Friday afternoon, to note the death of radical left-wing Sixties terrorist Assata Shakur (born Joanne Chesimard) in Cuba, the CTU’s X account issued the following statement: Rest in Power, Rest in Peace, Assata Shakur. Today we honor the life and legacy of a revolutionary fighter, a fierce writer, a revered elder of Black liberation, and a leader of freedom whose spirit continues to live in our struggle. Assata refused to be silenced. She taught us that “It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.” Keep in mind, as Noah Rothman eloquently explained yesterday afternoon, that Shakur was a cop-killer who escaped from prison to live the rest of her days in a totalitarian country. My readers tend to be a fairly savvy bunch, so I suspect many of you are asking yourselves why a teachers’ union would have felt the need to celebrate the passing of an infamous American terrorist murderer. (For those wondering — because it occurred to me to check — Shakur was never a teacher herself, unless her job was to instruct people in criminal undertakings.) But while this question may puzzle out-of-towners, it makes all the sense in the world to us locals. The Chicago Teachers Union is (as I have explained many times in these pages) arguably the single most radical major union in America, a throbbing, graft-bloated parasite attached to Chicago city government the way a tick burrows deep into a pig. And much like a tick, the CTU isn’t content merely to suck money out of the city’s taxpayers. It gives back as well — in the form of Mayor Brandon Johnson, former CTU lobbyist and current laughingstock of America. https://www.nationalreview.com/carnival-of-fools/the-chicago-teachers-union-is-exactly-who-you-thought-they-were/
  22. Palestine flags are not Hamas flags. Literally, they’re not. Hamas has a white flag with a seal on it.
  23. The fact you believe anything you wear has anything to do with the team’s performance tells me all I need to know.
  24. You clearly are ignorant of any of this. In fact, you post the most inane junk on this forum all the time. For your edification, a commission as an officer in the United States military is granted by the President.
