Training Camp 7/28 - Full pads starting today.
Sierra Foothills replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
In his prime Conlan was a pretty classic run-stopping, stack and shed linebacker but he was by no means a liability in the passing game. Besides good recognition skills he could definitely run. While at Penn State he ran a 4.5 forty. -
I'm not in favor of the Bills signing him. There is no reason to think he is better than the Bills' 3rd or 4th receivers. 5th and 6th receivers need to be significant special teams contributors. Otherwise, you're holding a roster spot for a bench warmer. I don't see that happening with Davis.

I was only still becoming a savvy football fan as the 90s began (entering my teen years), so the impression I have is of a physical plugger who wasn't exactly an asset against the pass. Could definitely be mistaken. He was rostered for 2-3 more years after he left Buffalo. -
Deion Sanders was treated for bladder cancer
North Buffalo replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have had bladder cancer stage 3 small carcinoma, it was in a diverticulum (out-pouching) so they removed that part of my bladder and then went through chemo...that was 6 years ago.. luckily it was "encapsulated" it hadnt spread... pretty common in guys over 50. I get checked every 3 months... had 2 small sarcomas show up last year so now I go for immuno therapy every 6 months totaling 3 years... 2 years left and nothing has shown since... thank God... it was detected because I had blood in my urine and got checked.. Bladder cancer is one of the most treatable cancers there is... -

Yes, you're right. He was not the same player at the end than he was at the beginning. Earlier in his career he was a sideline to sideline tackler who really brought the wood. -

We’re just talk in Bills and what nots. Not beings grammarlys experts now. -
Talk is the 9ers or Giants. Both could use him I guess. Would bet the vet minimum, yes.
-
Not sure. But they make something like $20k a week when on the PS… can’t be that much different.

In retrospect...maybe there should have been a separate Wilkins thread lol -
The trade war that wasn’t Huh. Who knew? From CNBC, Even with high tariffs, Trump’s trade war suddenly is starting to look not so scary on Wall Street. “Suddenly.” Economists cite a strong global growth backdrop, a less-than-expected inflationary impact of the tariffs and a general easing in financial conditions as reasons for why the landscape looks less dire. “Economists” have been wrong every inch of the way so far, so guess we should take their word for it, now. Meanwhile, Yahoo reports US stocks eked out records Monday in relatively muted trading session as the US and European Union struck a trade pact…The S&P 500 rose just above the flatline to post a sixth consecutive day of record closes. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/07/the-trade-war-that-wasnt.php

The Titans have Calvin Ridley and nobody else for their #1 overall selection QB to throw to. That tells you how bad Burks must be either physically or mentally.
