  1. Past hour
  2. As someone with ADHD Football was the one thing that ever had me focused I still to this day settle in when I'm watching a Bills game or scouting
  3. I don't think he came into the season indifferent, but he's had some struggles since the Baltimore game and has NOT been living up to the "contested catch" billing. If he has issues with ADHD, he needs to work with the team's sports psychologist and get set up with cognitive behavioral therapy or whatever he needs to learn coping skills.
  4. This was before the Tampa game obviously. I thought this tweet was spot on
  5. To the bolded: you do realize that in 17 rushes (according to PFR it's 17 for 87...you have an extra 2 yard run listed), Cook gained 4 or more yards 10 times and more than 5 yards 8 times? And of the 7 unsuccessful runs, 4 went for 2 or 3 yards? So it wasn't really that bad AT ALL. 5.1 Y/A. It was more about not running Cook often enough in that game, if I'm recalling the postgame critiques accurately. Atlanta's pass rush/pressure packages is what was working most against the Bills, who should have run more often and/or simply better diagnosed and attacked some of the blitzes (tougher to do on the road and in a dome). The Patriots did effectively shut down Cook for 3.3 Y/A. No doubt. When that happens and the Bills fail to counter, I think play-calling and Allen's inconsistencies in diagnosing pre-snap looks (shared blame here with his coaches and what they're expecting and preparing for) are more to blame than the quality of the Bills OL personnel. Even above average blockers can look bad when repeatedly put in bad positions by predictable play calls, a lack of self-scouting, poor game planning, etc. And maybe Vrabel's boys up front just bullied our guys more than I'd like to admit...
  6. Week 18 we have a WC spot clinched - a loss means we go from 5 to 6 or 7. Do we play to win? No way. He rests starters. Too early to even remotely care about this hypothetical right now. No at Baltimore is not ideal. My ideal WC path is this: At 2 seed NE in a snow storm round 1 At 1 seed Denver in a snow storm round 2 At 3 seed Indy in a comfy dome for Allen to torch them - no way Daniel Jones beats us idc how many times they run JT.
  7. If Allen is telling beane who to select he should be fired immediately.
  8. Overall rushing volume is extremely misleading. Rushing dvoa or how your run defense plays in high leverage moments is more relevant. A good example is vs KC right before the half this year. That was a key run stop in a high leverage moment. At the end of the day if you're Scoring very fast with a QB passing the football like Allen, you're creating more possessions for yourself. If the other team is running the football, it may take a very long time in theory for them to score. Creating less possessions for our opponents. We lost the rushing battle We lost the turnover battle We lost the time of possession battle Yet we won by 12.... If we get just one more 3rd down stop & Hardman doesn't fumble, we probably win by 20+.... Volume rushing stats, turnovers and time of possession are boomer talking points that are largely for teams without a real qb & counterintuitive Obviously our run defense needs to improve, obviously you don't want to turn the ball over tho... But this is why everyone was so mad after the dolphins game with 12-15 plays, the constant check downs and tunnel screens. It's counterintuitive but you're playing into your opponent's hands. And you make every single mistake or turnover 10x worse playing that way. I remember Kelly vs the Bengals in 91 had 3 1st half ints. He still threw 5 tds and they won like 35-10 or something You play football with a level of aggression and urgency to win, and win quickly/ decisively. You don't play football with the mindset of worrying about your defense or worrying about turnovers. Marv levy had to force himself to get comfortable with this mindset. So does McDermott. Not saying they should never run the football or never have games where they use ball control offense. Both are important...I'm saying the game vs Tampa Bay should be their foundational identity
  9. Look me in the eye and tell me you weren't super pissed with him after the first one. Fortunately he pulled his head out of his ass.
  10. He's still a starting caliber, top 50 edge in the NFL. The Bills have been playing DT's TJ Sanders and Daquan Jones edge snaps the past couple games and they have been just awful. It's a bad situation.
  11. Allen told Beane this was the WR he wanted during the draft process so it’s a lot of people
  12. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that we actually get to watch Josh Allen every week and he’s our guy on our team. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that management has been completely inept and has not surrounded him with the talent he needs
  13. Because they are also a team at the bottom of the standings that isn't very good? Where does anyone get the expectation that this team should beat anyone? The games they win the other team is saying to themselves, "How did we lose to the Sabres?"
  14. Ravens are going to be the 3 seed. The AFC South is going to be the 4 seed. For that not to be truth the Colts need to win in KC. Check the Colts remaining schedule out.
  15. I won a free Keon Coleman jersey this year. I still want him benched this game
  16. Why do they always seem to play so poorly against teams at the bottom of the standings? It’s been going on for years now. I don’t get it. I don’t know how they could possibly think they’re good enough to take any opponent lightly.
  17. More 1 hand picks, then 1 hand pick 6s.
  18. Bad night for Buffalo teams at home as i sat and flipped between the Sabres and UB Bulls football. blech
  19. Diggs has as many babies born this year as Allen has AFC player of the week.
  20. In my civilian work, I use a modified version of the Army's After-Action Review (AAR), leading a discussion around these four questions: * What did we do right? * What could we have done better? * What did we learn? * What will we do differently next time? I wonder if Beane and his team did a post-mortem on the Keon pick, figured out where they went wrong, and took steps to make sure they don't make a similar mistake going forward.
  21. Sure, after the picks are made and we've seen what they turn into - that's something that's really easy to say. Hindsight is always 20/20. But the flip side of that is 99% of the best players in the NFL were once "overvalued" Draft Picks. We've traded two 1st Round Picks under Brandon Beane. The first one was used by the Chiefs to select Patrick Mahomes. The second one was used by the Vikings to select Justin Jefferson. That's not to say there isn't times where it's better to move picks for sure things. But there's a lot of reasons GM's value picks as they do - without taking into account 4-5 years of a cost controlled contract.
  22. We are in agreement here! Time will tell.
