DOGE Big Balls Assaulted in DC
JDHillFan replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You better alert CNN and the New York Times. They both seem distracted by it. Top story on both of their webpages. Otherwise, really good post. -
Not commenting on the rest of the discussion but... One of my favorite Herm Edwards sayings: A goal without a plan is just a wish!

Who do you think hired Daboll??? Who do you think hired Dorsey to coach Allen during the season?

What if we don't agree with your 45. For example, I don't think Mike White is making the team over Mitch and I think Hamlin will make the team as well. You also don't have Thompson making it even though he has popped in camp and McD has been gushing about him. Nothing is ever certain, but you are asking us to pick 8 more as if we agree with your first 45, which I don't agree on some of your choices. Offense: QB - Allen, Trubisky RB - Cook, Davis, Ty FB - Gilliam TE - Kincaid, Knox, Hawes WR - Keon, Palmer, Shakir, Samuel, Shavers OT - Dawkins, Brown, Grable, Van Demark OG - O'Cyrus, Edwards, Anderson C - McGovern, VPG Defense DE - Bosa, Rousseau, AJE, Jackson, Solomon DT - Oliver, Jones, Sanders, Walker, Carter LB - Bernard, Milano, Williams, Thompson, Andreesen, Ulofoshio CB - Benford, Hairston, White, Johnson, Strong, Codrington S - Rapp, Bishop, Hamlin, Lewis, Forrest Special Teams PK - Bass Punter - Robbins LS - Reid I think Forrest and Ulofoshio would be the odd guys out when our 2 guys from suspension are back.

Last year our primary starters Were Benford, Rapp, Hamlin, Douglas, with Elam as the back up. A real talent haven. Taron has been here for both iterations so lets just focus on the rest. This year we will have Benford, Rapp, Hamlin, and White with Dane Jackson the back up. We depended on rookies in Max and Bishop to dethrone the trash we brought back. Thus far, not looking good. God helps us if Benford goes down because the flood gates will open. The only other path to improvement off last year is some of this DL help delivering with consistency. Rookie dependent, sort of like the our secondary plan. Bad thing with that is you sort of need to hit a draft pick once in awhile for that strategy to work out. Compared to what we had in the first iteration, the secondary barely has a pulse and even that unit wasn't good enough to avoid a playoff meltdown. I guess the good news is nearly all of these guys have shown injury histories. An old guy I used to work with had this saying and I always hated it. "Hope is not a plan". I found the only actual use for it now.

Which teams are those? Certainly not Baltimore even though Harbaugh has struggled to win any playoff games with Lamar. Certainly not Cincinatti since Zac Taylor's teams have only made the playoffs twice during his six year tenure, including five with Joe Burrow. After losing in the conference championship in 2022, the Bengals have missed the playoffs twice. 🤣🤣🤣 Those WGR idiots couldn't find their way out of a darkened room with an open door lit with an EXIT sign. There is nothing to discuss about Terry Pegula losing patience with Sean McDermott because he's failed to take the Bills to the Super Bowl. Unless the Bills repeatedly miss the playoffs, McDermott isn't going to be on Pegula's "hot seat". He's hit the proverbial jackpot with McDermott and Beane, a neophyte NFL owner whose team went from irrelevant bottom feeder to perennial SB contender in only a few seasons while some other NFL owners haven't experienced that kind of success in decades if ever.

More unnecessary distraction from Trump’s health issues and Epstein connections. This can be safely ignored. -

I wish Desmond Watson played for us. Imagine that fat jokes, imagine him standing next to Kincaid? He’d make him look like a Buffalo wing bone -
So every other HOF QB got there how? Because McD wasn’t there for them. Josh’s off season introspection early in his career was more attributable to Daboll and Jordan Palmer. I don’t believe McD had much to do with that at all other than to give it his blessing

I chose Palmer because this was Beane's big FA move for the offense. He paid a decent amount of money for a guy with potential and next gen stats but hasn't produced yet. He chose him over trying to acquire more proven talent. I picked him because if he and the offense struggle there will be lots on consternation in Bills land. For the record I liked the move and the Moore signing. Both guys may just need opportunities to succeed. All that said too, it is going to be everybody eats 2.0 almost assuredly. There is not a dominant player but there are several very good options in the pass game between the WR, TE, and RBs. In a perfect scenario the targets Hollins got last year moslty go to a dominant Kincaid. Give Josh an all world TE and he will be MVP again. What is that saying, you can't whip a dead horse? You can only complain so much before its just background noise. Much like me complaining about carrying a FB on a team that runs the QB in almost all short yardage situations.

Really makes you wonder why they haven't tied the knot yet. I don't see it happening at this point but I'm rooting for them... -
You know what cocaine makes you want to do? MORE cocaine! I think that is courtesy of Robin Williams. .

Cook was crystal clear with his initial demands: Cook went on Instagram Live on Wednesday and pinned his own comment that said "15 mill year," per the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. Has he reduced his number either slightly or significantly? Who knows. But let's not act as if we know he's changed his stance and is asking for a number that the market will bear for his production and duties. You can guess what you want, but I'll deal in known facts and the fact is he went public with a $15 million demand. Do we sign him for $11 million? Maybe, but until we find out, the folks dealing with his public comments have more information than you do.
