Embarrassing. Sit down, mom.

Detroit did the Trump Dance and immediately blew a 15.5 game lead on the AL Central. Coincidence?
-
Yep, with the Ravens’ injury list, none of those will be a cakewalk.

NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?
Mister Defense replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
Simply untrue, and almost completely so. They were one of the best defenses in several, almost all?, of the areas they are awful at now, under both Frazier and McD, though the defense got weaker as key players were gone. One of the best statistical defenses in the NFL for most of McDermott's years as head coach--no gray area. You may have beefs with him, and that is fine, but don't say this untrue thing. As bad, faulty information leads to bad, faulty decisions, and consistently. -

Is Hawes in the process of surpassing Knox as TE2??

Beanie will consult Josh before doing anything with knox. -
It's fun fan speculation to have these conversations week to week, but there's just not really much meat on the bone just yet. It is very hard in football for there to be a Bonafede MVP front runner 4 weeks into a season but it is still nice to have some fan speculation.

and McD's defense is old... like 2015 old... that is why we need a mind in here that can reimagine what this defense is... and for the folks that think this defense was built to stop Mahomes... I dont agree, I think this defense was built to contain threats play soft and pray you hold teams to FGs while your offense score TDs...

Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone
Paup 1995MVP replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Both deep throws did not look like they were planned plays. It was Josh rolling out to his right under pressure and heaving the ball down the sideline. Coleman certainly wasn’t open on the pick. And the ball to Samuel was tailing to the right, and he collided w the DB as the ball was approaching. It was close to PI on the DB. The entire football field should be used by the offense. Not just the first 10-15 yards past the line of scrimmage. It makes us more difficult to defend. As bad as our defense looks at times. When we play the better teams, our offense will be under more pressure to make plays. So some vertical passing game will be needed. -
If Shaddeur was white...non story

Vikings, Browns, Steelers (x2), New England and Packers won't be a cakewalk. They should beat Miami, Chicago, New York and Cincinatti (x2).

i will clarify that Frazier got the blame for the confusion on the final drive in KC. this was despite rumors (and what i have heard) persisting that mcdermott had been making play calls in that game when it was near the end. he took a very hands on approach to his coaching in that game, including the ST which caused the gaffe of the kicker and cover team not being on the same page. fraziers teams were always vanilla defense with hyde and poyer locking it down. edmunds athletic ability was part of his success and helped cover those warts on his game but it was how frazier used everyone and tapped their potential to get the most out of them. especially our corners - which mcdermott got credit for.

We've seen more diversity in scheme this year than any from McD era. Lots of evidence to think we'll screw it up in some new unexpected way this time around. Also, it's way too early give up on back 7. Strong, Taron, Benford are all decent in man. Bet Hairston will be good too. Bernard and Thompson have a track record in this scheme and Milano can be a difference maker. Bishop improving... youth mixed with vets needs to hit the sweet spot but there's enough talent and flexibility we're now playing in more different alignments than in the past. It's not as predictable even though we're fequently screwing up.
