  1. Past hour
  2. From all accounts, Whaley was the driver behind that one. And then he got fired by the guy he got hired.
  3. Worked great with Baker till he turned into the Bake Show
  4. He was able to extract a Moratorium on Mischief, which was Harris-esque in scope and importance. I heard somewhere he was looking for Abeyance on Azzholery but just couldn't pull it off because the elections snuck up on him.
  5. They are watching the Dick Jauron film instead of the Marv Levy film on how we used Thurman Thomas. How Cook isn’t running at least 4 wheel routes a game is criminal.
  6. You'll get Ron Rivera and you'll like it.
  7. Isn't he involved with a huge lawsuit with the NFL? I'm sure nobody will touch him, collusion. He's kind of like Bill Cowher IMHO. SB winning coaches who really were over rated (Cowher was 1-4 in AFC Title games at home).
  8. I kinda like that combo, but I'm torn on Stefanski. Part me feels like he also gets outschemed at times. Albeit he really hasn't had a good qb since Baker, and he didn't set the world on fire with him either. Schwartz I definitely like as DC, but he would never come here as that. It would have to HC for him to consider it.
  9. I have no ideas about GMs except for someone from Philly or KC. As for HC, I like Klint Kubiac. He's getting a lot out of not too much in Seattle. But Pegula will probably hire Gruden. Remember, the only NFL coach that Terry hired on his own was Rex.
  10. If Mara is smart, he goes after Josh McDaniel. I know he failed as HC before, but he didn't have the QB. As an OC, he knows how to develop QBs. Look what he's doing in NE. I don't see any of the big names in college stepping into the Pros. There are too many big programs with head coaching vacancies in college right now.
  11. Happy Veterans Day everyone! Thanks to all who have sacrificed
  12. A little off topic, but if Miami is trying to get one last squeeze out of Tua they may go the Daboll route since they were both at Bama. I'm low on Daboll, so I am rooting for him to go to Miami.
  13. If the Browns fire him I'd prefer Kevin Stefanski with Jim Schwartz coming with hi as d-coordinator. I thought Joe Douglas did a pretty good job building the Jets roster but just couldn't get the QB right.
  14. They went from Daboll to this. Quite the reactionary response.
  15. KC used him as a gadget guy after his first couple of seasons. Basically a weak (but fast) Shakir Take a look at his yards per reception over his career. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HardMe00.htm if he can play the outside and get open deep, I’m all for it. I just don’t believe it’s going to happen with Brady calling the plays and Josh throwing the deep passes
  16. Gruden will be replacing Daboll
  17. Bill Cowherd! Oh ***** no sorry that's my draught era trauma rearing it's head again
  18. Yeah, the Bills can easily be $40-$50 million under the cap this year, and they would only have to restructure one or two players to get there. Release Taron Johnson, Codrington & Rapp and that will be good savings. Restructure Dawkins & Hoecht, and that's all they would need to do. You wouldn't have to touch Josh Allen's or Ed Oliver's contracts.
  19. Ive said this many times about the McDermott and Beane discussion. I am fine with moving on from them but be very aware that an OC, DC, former head coach or a name no one talks about is just as likely to be the same or worse than what we already have. Making a move at head coach will satisfy the restless natives for a bit. Until it doesnt.
  20. You're right. They're people first and foremost, and we should try to remember that. If any of those things were you listed were the case, I'd hope the coaches would have the grace to not call him out on effort in front of the national media then. That being said, it's possible they don't know too.
  21. I have little to no interest in a recycled guy. I don’t “need” to see someone that won a long time ago. Bill Cowher was never the answer for the 20 straight years of people screaming for him. I also don’t think Shanahan and McVay are realistic so cross them off. Those teams aren’t trading their elite coaches because we want them to. Curt Cignetti was my guy but don’t think that we can afford him at this point. I think that Lane Kiffin is my guy now. He has just enough ego and edge. The Bills have lacked a swagger and killer mentality. This offense would be explosive. Lane would inject that confidence. Schwartz would be my goal at DC. If Schoen gets fired he would be my GM target. He seems to be the scout. He’s drafted elite talent and the Bills roster was better when he was here. If not Schoen, I’d try to pry Nick Casserio away from the Texans. I don’t know what that looks like either but he’s excellent.
  22. You and others in here are 100% correct. It's a crime that this is even a discussion. But based on how we are currently constructed, I'm convinced it may be the best (only?) option
