How many more presidents of elite university scalps will you be satisfied with. Perhaps if they put a dunce hat on them, put them on stage and beat them to death. were you on campus for the student protests? How big were they? Will gambling ruin the NFL and sports in general?

There’s something ironic about a game with a weed username fearmongering over gambling and integrity. -

What source do you have about Iran rushing to finish its nukes? -
The New Orleans and Austin things are new. If there are/is a billionaire interest, and they fail to procure one of these 2-4 expansion franchises, they could target an existing team. The Sabres heading toward no-lease-land in a bad arena, and unprecedented fan apathy would be a prime target.

McDermott not in Top 10 of NFL coaches per PFF.

Making the playoffs twice with 2 different QBs in Cleveland is as impressive as anything McDermott has ever done. -
No, I live here and have a bunch of contacts in the UVA community, and there is no "attack." I don't even know if we have a "local Fox station," and I am hardly MAGA. Total nonsense. By the way you are steadily drifting in the Tibs and Billstime tide, stating red herrings that have no basis in reality as fact.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
sherpa replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So let's review, because it's been the best few months in middle east events in decades. 1. Syria collapses after an Israeli strike. 2. The collapse of Syria ends the weapons autobahn between Iran and its Hezbollah and Hamas. 3. Hezbollah basically collapses. Hamas the same. 4. Israel clears a path through Syria for the IAF to get to eastern Syria unimpeded, and thus provides a pathway to Iran, eliminating major problems doing so without fighting their way through and having to tank in the air. 5. Iran, accurately sensing that it's murderous noose around Israel is impotent, rushes into an expedited effort to finish building the nuc program and getting weapons on a delivery system. 6. Israel becomes aware of that and figures, "it's now or never." They take out the Iranian air defenses in basically two days, enjoying unfettered access to Iranian sites. 7. Iran asks Hezbollah to respond with aggression, and they don't. China and Russia, both with strategic alliances signed with Iran, in the case of Russia, just this year, don't honor the defense commitments, leaving Iran orphaned. Moreover, China tells Iran not to screw around in the Strait of Hormuz. 8. Israel destroys a good deal of the above ground nuc facilities, "neutralizes" a good deal of the scientific talent that underpins it, and decapitates the IRCG leadership, who are really the problem, as well as destroying a good deal of the ballistic missile production and operational capability of Iran, which threatens Israel and US forces. 9. The US conducts and immensely successful strike on underground facilities thought to be impenetrable, losing nobody and putting massive weapons exactly where intended. 10. The Israelis have an obviously significant humint capability inside Iran, probably still operational, and still control the airspace. The old aphorism applies: "The perfect is not the enemy of the good." The regular Iranians, non the ideologically animated religious nuts and their sycophants, did not immediately rise and throw wackos out but things are way, way better off than they were prior to the fall of Syria. -
Mcfadden's on 2nd avenue in New York City is where you go to watch the Bills. If it's anything like it used to be, you'd better get there early. The place absolutely rocks.

Who is the worst franchise QB in the NFL?
Low Positive replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lawrence is such an interesting case. All the physical gifts are there, but he lacks mental resilience. I think that vaunted 68-game winning streak in high school and college meant that he never learned to pick himself off the mat. It just came so easy for him; he was always the best guy on the best team. When the losing started in Jacksonville, a sort of apathy set in from which he has yet to recover. It also doesn't help that the entire organization in Jacksonville seems like an afterthought. If Jacksonville decides to cut bait and he goes to the Steelers next offseason, I think we might see a Mayfield-like resurrection. -

Legalized gambling won't ruin the NFL, it will just ruin a lot more people's lives. The NFL will be fine. -

Hahha so the lawyer is claiming he's to busy and hes a senator. Now the delays make sense. A judge won't say no to that lawyer. They probably golf together every other weekend Let's wait till the charges are greatly reduced to a slap on the wrist and probation. Doubt they will get the charges dropped so Rice is probably well aware the stiffest penalty is gonna be the suspension the league gives him. If it's postponed til June, then he's gonna try to get the next date pushed til 2026. He won't be suspended til 2026 season -

Tomlin deserves some praise for being as consistent as he is. That said, he's a dinosaur when it comes to coaching. They haven't won a playoff game since 2016. Stefaniski being ranked as high as he is insane too. He gets way too much credit for winning 4 games with Joe Flacco two years ago -
look at the districts with the highest medicaid enrollment. WV, Ky, NC, SC, Georgia, Southern Ohio, Miss, etc. Even WNY. Cali is a significant outlier. Even if it's 50% of 100mil, that's potentially 50 mil voters. https://www.kff.org/medicaid/issue-brief/congressional-district-interactive-map-medicaid-enrollment-by-eligibility-group/

Who is the worst franchise QB in the NFL?
GunnerBill replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
So I don't have Darnold in the "franchise" club in any definition. I get the "he got paid" condition, but he has one moderately successful year as a starter. His other years starting have been dismal. Financially he and Baker are on a par but Baker has had three playoff years as a starter, and has played pretty darn well in the playoffs. So once you throw Darnold out.... you are left with TLaw and Murray. I have Lawrence in penultimate place ahead of Kyler, probably on the basis that Kyler it totally anti-clutch, he plays his worst when you need his best AND I think he is the most likely of the bottom end "franchise" guys not to be on his current team in 2026. But I wouldn't really fight against someone putting those two the other way around. I think Kyler has generally been more consistent in helping his offense move the football.
