If an ambulance cant get to people because of them then it is very harmful, if I miss my flight then it is true harm, and if my dairy products go bad due to the heat then it is slightly harmful, but all are harmful and likely. Yea I saw plenty of leg / ankle breaks in soccer. They are actually more common than the serious ligament injuries at the level I played and coached. Two of them were literally sickening. I am a tad squeamish at the best of times but I actually vomited on those occasions.

So I've never done my Achilles but I saw a few in person and I think the difference is how weird the leg feels...your calf sort of rolls up into itself and you can't really move the foot so you just feel like something is wrong ACL feels bad too but not maybe as apparent there is something seriously amiss so why not try to walk it off The ones that really need stretchers are those compound ankle fracture+dislocation where the heel is pointing sideways...seen a couple of those too and it's a look away type injury
