Before or after game scent? -
It’s pretty crappy for those looking to find updates on this weeks game and discuss this weeks game….which is what this thread is for imo. Josh vs Lamar is worthy of its own thread. One ravens fan falling on his sword for Lamar vs the entire message board in our weekly game thread isn’t the place imo. I want info on the game, yet have to wade through page after page to find any info. I was guilty of it too, that’s why I created another thread for this. Yet he refuses to post in it with rebellious intent and everyone continues to feed the troll. And you’ll still be all upset whining and crying about it in our weekly game thread instead of a thread dedicated specifically for you so that you don’t turn this thread into something that sucks.

Not the biggest news but still pretty cool.

I say we get a group of fans to get together and corner the market. Buy up all the pieces of the stadium and reconstruct it somewhere else. -
NFL history is littered with examples of good talent going to waste due to poor coaching. I think there's a lot of evidence to suggest that McDermott, Beane, and Allen were ideally suited for each other. It took a very good staff and GM to pair with a very unique player personality and traits to get where they are. I think an average coach and GM would not have been able to help Allen become the player he is, and by consequence, the Bills would not have been nearly as good. Most on this board, including myself and the vast majority of "experts," didn't want Allen as their first choice, or even the first Josh. Unless you are 14 (which is possible), you will no doubt remember that almost no one but the Bills believed that Allen would be much more than an average QB, let alone an MVP. And few would have guessed that the Bills would become a perennial playoff contender and then a Super Bowl contender. That would not have happened without excellent coaching and team building.

Bills Working Out Kickers - Bass Not Healthy?
BillsFanForever19 replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall
Prater used to be a Superstar Kicker. He's 41 years old at this point though. Hopefully he can turn back the clock a bit and lock in. We tried out a bunch of guys this off-season and brought in Caden Davis for a game. But Prater's a bigger name with more experience. This kind of move combined with Bass going from Limited on Wednesday to DNP on Thursday has me wondering if there wasn't a reaggravation and they expect he's going to miss some real time. -
Don't use up all your brain power, gotta save it for those awesome comebacks in the future!

May have mentioned this before, but my oldest son is a big Michigan fan. Checked out the game last week. The kid has all the measurables and all the talent in the world. The arm talent is pretty evident. One thing I noticed last week is he relies a lot on the arm talent and the mechanics are a ways off, especially lower body. That said he looks like the real deal in terms of a QB prospect. Going to get a lot of Cam Newton and Josh Allen comparisons. I like Mateer from the Sooners alot. Cant wait for the game.

A Different Vibe from McDermott
Ethan in Cleveland replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Three years ago when I said the same thing and it was 90% negative emoji. Now its at least 50/50. The fan base is getting more restless every year. Nothing would make me happier than to see McDermott lift the trophy this year. -

Just answer the question. With an average coach and GM and Josh Allen, how do you think we would fair in the AFC east the last 5 years? No playoffs? Some playoffs? Josh would never end up being Josh?

I'm not sure how many got a chance to watch this kid in week 1. A lot of hype, I had no idea what to expect. I was pretty floored by what I saw. Competition really doesn't matter with what I was looking at. How in rhythm is he, how quick does the ball get out, arm strength, accuracy, and composure. I was so impressed by this kid. In fact, I will go as far to say I have only been blown away by two freshman QB's in the last 25 years or so as far as watching the first games they played as freshman. Those guys ended up being Russel Wilson and Robert Griffen III. I have really liked others early, but not to this extent. Sometimes when you watch these kids you just get a feeling. They're just ahead of it all. The Oklahoma / Michigan is must watch football this weekend. Mateer is also very solid and Oklahoma should be a solid team again this year. Norman is not a fun place to play for anybody let alone a true Freshman in game two. But I think this kid will be up to the task and it should be a awesome game.
