  1. Past hour
  2. Pam Bondi said the Epstein files were on her desk - any updates?
  3. That's what Rousseau, Bernard, Shakir, and Benford did. I'm sure the Bills already offered him that (around 4 years $42m, $25m guaranteed) and he said no. My hunch is there's a disconnect between what Cook thinks he's worth and the league consensus. Maybe let him seek a trade to find that out?
  4. I got a similar deal, but through Verizon HBO Max and a discounted Netflix
  5. I had cataract surgery 3 years ago. I could get along fine with a daily routine, but the cataracts really showed up when I used a VR headset. After the surgery, my vision improved from requiring glasses for driving to nearly 20/20. Amazing. If you are old, you may develop cloudiness later. There is a procedure to eliminate that called YAG. I had that about 6 months ago, but I still have a little cloudiness left. I don't find it convenient to have to use readers. I need 1.25 to see my computer monitor, but 2.5 to read at normal book distance. I have been using Dollar Store readers for that, although I also have two pairs of progressive readers that I got at Walmart for $25, which work well when I am on a phone or tablet. I understand that Medicare will reimburse part of the cost for new glasses, but I'm unsure of the exact amount. I suggest starting with the cheaper readers, to see if you can get along with single correction or if you prefer something else. When I finally decide to get a new pair of glasses, they will be progressive readers.
  6. let’s say he plays for 5 then signs a 3 for 42…. 4 year 47 or he just signs 4 year low 40s now - cash up front and mitigates injury risk…. it just seems common sense for him to come off his UFA style ask to get a slightly lower deal that does great things for him
  7. in a given year, sure. but realistically they're all members of the same union, and in the long term larger contracts are better for membership overall put it this way- when it's your turn to get paid you'd expect your coworkers to be in your corner. i mean just because you get a raise it doesnt mean your buddies get less...it's up to the boss/front office/NFLPA cba etc to figure it out
  8. Why does Le'Veon Bell come to mind?
  9. there are like 3000 guys in camps also an acl in August has him back to full strength next year so like a 1 in 500 chance of an injury that would have him in camp for his new team now what are his odds of injury working out solo and what increase in risk of injury in sept comes from sitting out in August and does sitting out hurt perception at all? Once you normalize it all out - the risk isn’t super wild is all I’m getting at
  10. I guess this is the football gods evening things out after the Bills were on the low side of injuries the last couple of years.
  11. Wrong Um. Yes it is. Someone red pilled Arnold.
  12. The two plays that were uncannily similar... Josh running around forever extending the play and finally heaving a catchable but underthrown ball that most tight ends would catch... but that both Clay and Kincaid dropped. Maybe we should call those two companion pieces, the "Kin-Clay."
  13. Omg Remember when she said inflation wasn’t real. Then blamed it on Putin. Then blamed it on price gouging and greedy corporations Now we need communism hahahaha Fun times. Disaster party.
  14. It really isn't too hard to recognize when one party or the other makes a move that is just far beyond what was previously considered acceptable. Here's a few from recent memory: - Obama's DACA program. He had said he lacked authority under the constitution to create it. Then he created it. - Trump's "Muslim Ban." - Biden's student loan forgiveness program - Trump's wholesale firing - without cause - of a large number of members of federal boards and commissions - Texas' unprecedented mid-decade expressly political redistricting, not done in response to anything like new census numbers This is what I mean. Don't conflate incremental opportunistic policies with wholesale changes that go beyond what we have all believed to be acceptable uses of raw political power. There really is a difference in kind, not of just degree here.
  15. Listen to Beane. There is little conversation according to him. It is interesting at around 2:35 mark where Beane went onto talking about agents he has dealt with (not asked by Brown). And he said he has never done a deal with Cook's agent and need to "feel out". Then he went on to say "when you do a deal, it got be right for the player and right for the club." The underlying statement is obvious. I don't know where the story that the 2 sides are close came from. It sounds to me Beane is waiting for the Cook's side to move some before any further conversation.
  16. Bad but not bad bad…bad-ish, in the bad family, is/as/of about bad…but not bad bad. So…good, or unbad if you will.
  17. Cook is not on the same level as Taron Johnson or Christian Benford?
  18. I'm pretty sure the bills were investigated for their handling of benford There are a lot of cameras and people around the team right now that may not have the bills best interest in mind So be overly cautious as to not give low hanging fruit for the league/other teams to come after the bills I'm making a lot of assumptions but could see this as a possibility
  19. I grew up in Rochester area mainly and I did enjoy it. It was great in most ways, my friends who remain tell me some areas that sucked have improved and others now suck. Make sure you do your research on safety but there are some nice areas that are cheaper. It especially helps if you like minor league baseball and hockey because they are cheaper fun there( or at least used to be)
  20. Cool story. Where was this when CA NY and IL - states with declining populations did it because Rs won their races.
  21. Thank you, when they sign him to 13 to 15 for three, just admit you didn’t accept what was right in front of you. Just a partisan efficiency expert.
  22. Our cap wont allow this and paying this much for him is too much. Six to 8 mil over 3 years with incentives
