Yea, Tre gave up a few easy short ones, but the cushion to Robinson on the one chunk play he gave up probably clouds things. Im not out on him either, but was hoping to see him show a little better yesterday.

I don't think they are synonyms. In every defensive call you want the rush and the coverage to compliment each other. Its as much getting timing down as anything.

To Cam's credit he seemed to play pretty well but Hancock has a little more size and a little more speed so it would be pretty awesome if he took over the free safety spot. I know our safeties are interchangeable at times but Rapp seems like a strong safety and so does Bishop just younger with a big more speed so it would be nice if Bishop could lock down that job at some point and Rapp could back up both positions.

Based on their coaching hires, I would guess that not only will they run more stunts but they will also blitz a BIT more....enough to make teams concerned they are coming. Then they'll line 5 or 6 at the line of scrimmage to make teams concerned they will blitz and change up which four rush...which makes rushing four much more effective.

Agreed regarding the 'automatic' 50 yarders, but then too consider the missed PATs of the past few years. Seems like there were a fair number...or maybe it was only the Bills. 😁

Cooper is washed and Tre is a placeholder. Even if Tre struggles the first month and it becomes obvious we need to make a change before Max is ready, I'd rather see someone like Ingram or Dorian Strong get a shot. Hell, even Te'Cory Couch looked ok out there yesterday. This is the one area where we can probably trust in McD to coach up some options after finally reinvesting in our DBs.

I'm not all the way down on Tre yet. I'm not completely anti bend but don't break but you have to be able to make stops over the course of the game. I think Dane came in for Tre after two drives and the Giants only had 3 points and had punted the last drive. Near as I can tell the chunk plays stated after that. I think at his age and physical abilities Tre has to play a bit of chess. Tre might not have been lock down but I at least had the feeling that if you threw at him enough he'd jump one eventually. He was keeping things in front of him and I trust his thought process enough to feel like he might give up a few but he'd got one at some point. This is all just my opinion but I felt like Tre had it under control and Dane didn't.

I saw the ticker the other night that cooper had retired and apparently it was a fake account that created it which I didn’t know until right now. he probably didn’t want to go to a camp. Synchronisation and scheming are essentially synonyms. Tackling and spacing are an effect of the lack of game planning. Not the whole reason to be sure. It's one of the reasons to largely ignore pre-season games and why they often look discombobulated.

Surprised at how good TJ Sanders, Deone Walker and Jordan Hancock looked. Paired with hearing good things out of camp about those three and we could really have something there. Surpised at how meh Landon Jackson looked, along with DeWayne Carter seeming like the same mediocre player he was last year. Worried about our last two 3rd Round Picks with both having warning signs continue from when they were drafted (Carter undersized and washed out against the run easily & Jackson high cut, rigid and tight hips).

Cooper did not announce retirement. Its possible he doesn't want to play any longer. Offense was better when he was on the team. Hopefully its a moot point and Samuel is healthy. I liked the projected top 5 of Palmer, Moore, Samuel, Coleman, and Shakir. I'm just worried as we have not heard much from Palmer and Samuel is hurt again.
