That said, if the goal is to let rookies take their lumps early the first half breaks pretty favorably: no hot weather games, an perceived easier slate to start (after the Ravens) to break on rookies, there are only two back to back road games the entire season (there is a bye week buffer) with a gradual ramp up to road test in time for the playoffs

Tough stretch in there starting Nov 20 with four out of five on the road. At least there is a mini-bye in there. Plus, no three-game road trips.
