SNAP/EBT/Food Stamps
Joe Ferguson forever replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"In the U.S., about 8% of the population, or approximately 26 million people, were uninsured in 2023. The uninsured rate has decreased significantly since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, which aimed to expand coverage options and reduce the number of uninsured individuals." from kff multiple sources state that 1 in 5 children are food insecure. That's roughly 10 mil. So what's your argument? that's 10's of millions. less importantly, you still don't understand what the straw man fallacy is. Even had I actually misstated the number (I didn't) that would not be a straw man. It would be a false premise. -

He had 27 snaps, 12 of which were coverage snaps. -

Look, I am a neoconservative as it comes to such things. I think we do have a role to play in human rights or the lack thereof in other countries (which doesn't necessarily mean I want to invade them, etc.). It's just that Trump is publicly 100% against that. If he's changing his mind having seen some atrocities, well, good. Nothing wrong with admitting that? Or is there?

What’s going on with practices/warmups
machine gun kelly replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, I assume you’re being sarcastic as of course there are CBA rules on padded practices and McD has been doing this for 25 years back to his Eagles stuff under the great Jimmy Johnson (the defensive genius, not the putts on Fox who used to be the Cowgirls coach) -
The Farming Cliff. A viewpoint from a farmer.
Joe Ferguson forever replied to boyst's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I have a friend who owns a large cattle farm (yes, we have those in Va). I met him a few years ago on a cruise. We were seated across from each other at most meals with others from our community on the cruise. My reputation as a liberal proceeded me and he asked if it might be better if we didn't discuss politics. I agreed and we got along famously and still do. He was a solid trump supporter. Not so much these days. He told my wife he's fed up. There may come a point where we can discuss politics with each other other. Same with other conservative friends. I just hate that trump needed to hurt their businesses for us to get there. -
Maybe Palmer can ascend to #2 but really imo he's a solid #3, which I think is how he's generally been considered. The remaining spare parts (excluding Shavers) I think could be serviceable and more productive than they have been. But if this is true it only goes to show how deficient our WR room is. It means you are lacking a true #1 and #2 receiver, which many other teams have. That is pretty bad. I mean just imagine if you could add both Olave and Shaheen. The Bills passing attack would potentially be devastating. That's why if Shaheen is who many think he is we would be well advised to go hard at him. You'd still need a #1 receiver, and they are hard to find, but it would be worth seriously prioritizing that effort imo. Shakir was a great pick in the fifth, but it's worth remembering that many observers at the time saw him as round 3 worthy, including Greg Cosell. Given what we know where do you think he'd go in a redraft?

That's the key. Gotta knock off the timing, give Hoecht enough time to crush Patty. -

What I would like to be see us try is to go man, get right up on their guys, and chuck them at the LOS. Throw them out of their timing. -

nosejob replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hopefully the plan will be Max and Benford giving a good jam on Worthy and Rice. Was hoping for Shaq on Kelce so Bernard or Milano? Maybe Hancock on Hollywood? IDK, but don't think nickle will do it. -
I like this post for multiple reasons. But let me point out just one. Bills think they can develop WRs. Shakir might have been the unicorn , because Keon is not taking to it. I have little faith in quick and certifiable player development when drafting WRs etc from Bills staff I feel they need a proven commodity. from a Trade. Go for it . He was drafted for his catching prowess, and ability to beat seam coverages

Simon beat me to it. I do think Hairston’s snaps will increase, but this is one of McDs best units in years past, so he’ll know what to do. This is a big test. Hancock hopefully is learning at light speed from Poyer, and his snaps increase as well. Tre and Jordan can mentor the youngins so they learn on the fly. -
Not sure if you were around the old BBMB boards about 20 years ago but there was a thread where everybody started creating old school WWF aliases and just going back and forth with each other. It was an absolute riot. I was Rick The Model Martel
