jkeerie started following Game week thread - Bills at Browns

McD says Prater is out with a quad injury. Bills need to find another kicker this week.

Zay Jones anyone? Dallas already released Kaiir Elam. What about Harrison? The heir to Kyle Williams? Beane needs to be released along with his Scouts. Thier track record is below average.

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats
ScotSHO replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love that posters here have just now lost respect for this goof. He works the refs all game, every game. Same garbage in TENN. He's super annoying and a drag on the spirit of the game. He spends 2:1 time talking to refs vs. his own team. -
The Bills cannot win the AFC East unless the Patriots lose to either the Dolphins or Jets. Period. It doesn't matter if we win-out the remainder of the season. It doesn't matter if the Patriots lose next week to the Ravens. The only way that game matters is to give us an extra cushion if we lose to the Eagles. Meanwhile, the Steelers have a very slim margin for error here. Anyone counting out the Ravens are crazy. Nobody knows if Lamar Jackson will suddenly get healthy one of these weeks. I would love to win the AFC East as much as anyone. But the chances are extremely low, regardless of what we do the rest of the way. And it's certainly within the realm of possibility that we end up heading to Baltimore in the Wild Card Round... against a newly healthy Ravens squad.

the problem is, if they give Henry 25 carries the chances of a Bills win are about 30% and that's being generous

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats

I generally liked Vrabel, but come on coach, let’s not talk about blown or missed calls. That door swings both ways, unfortunately this just makes him look like a whinny simp. -
I missed this. What happened?
-
And HEALTHY

Hopefully Steelers win tonight then the Ravens win next week.

I don't know. All I did was Google it, and seemed to me it was reported as a change. Maybe all they meant is that in a historic, standard bracket, the team that beat the highest seed acquired the place in the bracket as the highest seed, including home court. What you say sounds correct.

Replay Assist and the end of half clock was beyond ridiculous. Similar to the spotter in the Houston game but AWOL during the Bengals game with Higgins! First, I couldn’t believe the ref called Maye out of bounds as it wasn’t even close. Like a whole yard from being out of bounds. It would have taken them far more than 10 secs to get back to the line and spike it. They would of had to use a TO which would have changed their playcalling with no timeouts remaining. I literally have no clue when replay assist chimes in versus looking the other way. I don’t know why they didn’t review the Boutte pass but immediately reviewed the Cooks pass. Make it make sense? But with all that said, it was ridiculous how easy we allowed them to get into FG position.

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats

Lost a lot of respect for Vrabel with this. The day after a loss he is pointing the finger at the officials instead of at himself and his team for blowing a 21 point lead. And these weren't even particularly controversial calls. I also lost all respect for this guy. I thought he was a great coach but hes actually a loser after hearing about his ongoing bitching. I also read two articles from two New England Patriots Sports Reporters. In my opinion they must be the most corrupt reporters on the face of the earth. On the Coleman interference they used a screen shot picture that didnt have the player tugging on Colemans jersey. Even Josh Allen could see the holding. It wasnt minor as the tug in my opinion watching it on replay held Colemans progress to the ball. Hes the story link https://985thesportshub.com/2025/12/14/youve-got-to-let-us-play-patriots-sound-off-on-controversial-penalties/ In that same link they also complained about the Khalil Shakir interference. Same exact penalty was called against Buffalo versus the Chiefs in last years Championship game. One reporter wrote that the flag "came out late" The hell it did as on replay the flag came out while the ball was still in the air as the defensive back, ran into Shakir. It wasnt even close in my opinion. So I read two stories that go on as the facts to remain in the public arena forever as gospel truth as it happened. Well both were not written as an opinion piece, they were an absolute misrepresentation of the facts and as to what happened. I never realized that the Sports reporters in New England were that corrupted. Then again the Patriots never cheat. Well, birds of a feather flock together. No mention of the hold on their 2nd half misdirection run for a touchdown. I saw one of our D linemen jersey held around the stomach as he was right near the runner before the runner did a 180. -

You have a lot of things to track, I'm glad this is on the list! -
Pats. I want the Ravens out.

I don't think Garrett will be a problem. We've got some great blockers. Run the ball right at him might actually be a good idea. That's not nice to sacrifice Trubisky that way...lol

any further info on Gabe Davis being inactive yesterday?

He also said that he is surprised that the camera doesnt catch him doing that almost every game. He said that he can't really explain it, but if he doesnt get it all out pregame, it will come out at halftime or during the 2nd half. He laughed about it. Strange, but seemingly a normal occurance for Josh. -

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats
Einstein's Dog replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I don't like about the whining is the insinuation that if no holds are called on the Bills the officiating is bad (never mind that he was wrong and a hold was called). He is setting the tone or expectation that every reffing crew should find at least one hold on the Bills or something is wrong - no example or particular situation - just a general, if no hold is called the refs did a poor job. -

Many agree,he never should have been the pick. Healthy scratch him the rest of the season then cut him asap after the season -
Thanks for this. I didn't know that there's only limited video available to the teams to decide whether to challenge. That points out how the NFL still doesn't have replay right. They need much more of their quick auto-reviews. That "completion" should have caused a brief interruption of the game while someone looked at the replay. It's true for every big play. If there's a question at all, pause the game for 20 seconds. It's especially true for near-TDs. There's an automatic review for every TD, but there's no review for every play that would have been a touchdown but for the fact an official ruled the runner down. You shouldn't have to use a challenge on a play like Cook's magnificent dive into the end zone. That play should be automatically reviewed.

The best path to get a 4TD lead on the Browns, then the last 10 minutes you play Trubisky and backup Tackles so Garrett can eat some to be happy.
-
I'm wondering if they have been limiting his snaps because of his history of back issues. Only thing I can think of for why he isn't taking on a bigger role.

100% it’s ravens all day. More likely we face the ravens round 1 then we win the division and the ravens/pats game doesn’t even really matter to get the division. We need the Patriots to lose to either Miami or the Jets and we can just take care of business against the Browns Eagles and Jets
