It's crazy that these NFL stadiums are being replaced after 25 years. The Georgia Dome came and went from 1992-2016. The Cleveland stadium and now the Denver stadium, neither of which are that old, are in the process of being replaced. I was half kidding in an earlier thread about in the near future starting a feesability study and the planning for the next stadium that will replace the new Highmark stadium. Maybe that tongue-in-cheek thought wasn't so far-fetched. How is it that so many college stadiums are viable and still used for 50+ years?

It’s too early in the season for that kind of reali…… err, I mean negativity. Am I fanboying correctly?

That hit by Oliver must’ve scrambled Lamar’s brains because I see no other reason why they wouldn’t go for it. Giving Josh Allen 1:33 to get 40 yards is insanity. I am naturally a very neurotic person, but when I say I felt absolutely tranquil, it is not an understatement. I just knew in the back of my mind that it was going to be easy. So easy in fact that the Bills had a good 30 seconds to run the clock out and get everything set up at a steady pace. -
Lamar mentioned to the Baltimore media that they would have gone for it on 4th down but "he was cramping". Whether it was really cramping, or hurting from that hit, or that hit caused the cramping... who knows, but I think it's pretty certain that hit prevented them going for it on 4th one way or the other. Great game by Ed. If he keeps this up we may be looking at a big extension this offseason instead of a restructure.

To be fair, Bills fans had seen it before. Ravens are the one team in the NFL that is an extremely difficult matchup for us. Last season, they blew us out, and it looked very, very similar for the vast majority of the game. You’d have had to be delusional to think we actually had a shot down the stretch, Josh Allen or not. Let’s be real. Allen was amazing. But the only reason he had a shot was Ed Oliver. And the fact the defense made a play was a miracle in itself, based on everything we witnessed to that point. That said… I was at a backers bar in Portland, Oregon. Left at halftime. Had nothing to do with the score, and everything to do with the fact I was with my 8 year old on a “school night”. Did I want to leave? Hell no! I got there 1.5 hours before the game to make sure I had a good seat. But my point is, we don’t know the circumstances for all of these fans. Some of them may have had valid reasons to leave when they did. And frankly, if Allen didn’t say anything about it, this wouldn’t even be a story. -
We walked the loneliest mile We smiled without any style We kiss altogether wrong No intention We lied about each other's drinks We lived without each other thinking What anyone would do Without me and you It's like I told you Only the lonely can play

“The Bible” because the book was written on it years ago. We have watched the same game by this defense for 7 years straight. 2017 it was good. That offseason teams learned how to get to it. We have still not changed. Our coach is only here because of defense but wins because of the offense. If we had an ounce of competence on that side of the ball, we’d have 2 rings. And it’s not the players. We have good players on defense. It’s 100% the coaching. We have 3 LBs that can run and cover and get mauled by every physical team at the point of attack. We are the one team in the league that can play a base defense every down and instead We play nickel more than anyone. We are stubbornly obsessed with doing what we want regardless of it working or not. If a good DC was here and had complete authority over the defense, we win the Super Bowl

KC is also in real danger of going 0-2. The Eagles at Chiefs is the national game on Sunday at 4:25. Even though its in Arrowhead this will still be a very tough game for the Chiefs. Throw in the fact that the division looks stronger and the days of them dominating the AFCW are probably over. That doesn't mean they can't win the division but for the 1st time in a long time they will be challenged for it. -

A few Random Thoughts After the Ravens Game

He was a very good throw. However, most NFL QBs should be able to make that throw. It was more of a touch and accuracy throw. More than 3 or 4 NFL QBs can make that throw. Nevertheless, under the circumstances it was elite execution of by QB and WR. -

Nothing wrong with that, but analytics are certainly useful. Not nearly as useful in football as they are in baseball. Still a good tool for coaches. -
I find it impossible to believe, that a South Korean company, who does billions of sales annually in the US, builds vehicles in the US, has pledged support to do more, is building a new factory to hire more people, would gave jeopardize that by bringing in illegal assistance from North Korea.

Thanks for the fresh thread. Upon reflection (and endless, happy viewings of the highlights), I'm even more impressed by Oliver. The big sack, the stuff of Henry, the huge hit on Lamar... He looked like Aaron Donald out there. And I agree about the tone this comeback sets for the team, both the rookies and veterans like Bosa and Palmer. Wow, could there be a better motivator to work even harder than a win like that? It must be electrifying. And talk about boosting resilience! Who is going to be giving up in the tough games ahead when the team is down in the fourth quarter? -

The ball literally bounced in Buffalo’s way on every occasion. The planets aligned perfectly at the end for that comeback. Makes sense as they had a 99.3% shot of losing up until that point. I also wanted to point out how close the GW FG was to being blocked. They escaped this one very lucky with a W.

Its not like it was in a vacuum and it was a tie game or the game was apparently on the line in any way. It appeared as though the Bills had given up. Henry was running at will. The Bills were down by 15 and Baltimore had the ball with not much time left. By any measure the game was over (as shown by these stats that keep coming out that say this game was 1 of a kind). Obviously in reality the Bills proved that wrong, and people will think twice next time. People leaving when the game looked like it did in the 4th quarter shouldn't get so much criticism. -
