  1. Past hour
  2. To the best of my knowledge "pre-school" didn't exist back in 1956? However... I have a black & white photo that my mother took of me on my first day of kindergarten in 1957 and I remember exactly zero of anything that went down. My earliest recollections are from the 1959 era around the time my father bought his first brand new Buick. Man... those fins were a sight to behold for a little kid!
  3. They say Bruce used to eat 75 wings a sitting at the Big Tree....Ed has some work to do
  4. Seems reasonable Cook is a top 10 RB being paid around 6-8 in terms of RB AAV. He is firmly below the elite RB contracts in CMC and Barkley and more in line with the "very good" RB's comparable to guys like Josh Jacobs.
  5. Future reference for the "he doesnt act like he's excited to be here" crowd, THIS is his reaction to the most exciting day of his life. Stop taking it personally.
  6. Doesn't the longer deal for the same APY actually make it more likely to keep those guys? Your example is $8 mil guaranteed per year, his actual deal is $7.5 mil per year
  7. Funny ‘cause it’s true.
  8. All the comments about "Thank God this is over!" surprise me....it didn't really feel that drama laden at all. Hard Knocks could barely cover it for two minutes there was so little to say. Our front office really does people management at an elite level
  9. And they all lived happily ever after.
  10. Yet, I hope he does. If he can put up what he just earned and get a couple 1200 yard seasons with 270-300 carries that'll be amazing. If his average the next 4 yrs is 1000/250 carries I will be pleased enough. He won't get many TDs, so receiving will be important to improve. If he can do that he can earn the chance to hold out. If he can break 1600 yards in this offense with Allen back there too id be ecstatic so long as it is because he is being the bellweather of ground yards. But, after that many carries he will be dying on the vine. He has 533 carries on the career of 4 yrs. I'll compare him to Chris Johnson who had 609 carries first 2 years. the fatal 2000 carries is a long way off for cook but age will creep up... But with his conservative use we may be able to get some good juice squeezed past 30.
  11. Save some brain cells for later.
  12. As Jeremy White and Joe Marino pointed out on WGR this morning, there was NO drama in the Bills building. All the drama and feelings was among the fans only.
  13. If anyone would like to buy me a cook jersey, I can give you my Venmo or PO box
  14. The circular logic here is hilarious. Because Beane keeps blowing every skilled position draft pick, a two down back who can't pass block and plays less than half the snaps is by default their best weapon (outside of qb of course). Therefore, because he's their best weapon, this is a great deal. 🤣🤣 I honestly feel bad for Josh. He's keeping most of these buffoons employed here, otherwise they'd all be back in Carolina doing jobs more suited to their qualifications.
  15. My wife and I volunteer at a cat rescue. I know how it works. I am on the transport and adoption teams. I help retrieve cats from animal control and then, when healthy, help get them adopted. We have also fostered over a dozen cats until they were adopted.
  16. Throw in the strategic defensive coaching additions, and I think he is seeing the light and trying to evolve. As I’ve been saying, I expect smart people to continue to get better at their job with more experience.
  17. By the way this is why players hold in and use all the other "drama" tactics that people lambasted Cook over... He forced the issue and put pressure on everyone involved to get a deal done, and as a result he walks away with $30M guaranteed a year before his contract expires. As the man himself said it's just business and fans take it way too personally.
  18. If Jimbo only averages 753 rushing yards per season over these next 4 contract years, he'll be 3rd on the Bills all-time rushing list. Look, this board doesn't like to pay RBs (nor does the league anymore up until like last season) - but this continuity is good, and Jimbo is also good. I feel the deal is fair based on his usage in the offense and his output, and the recent contract extensions of other top RBs.
  19. Let's see how Cybo plays this year. I think he has been fine. I don't yet think he is someone I am rushing to pay. If he has a good year and it willing to take a reasonably team friendly deal I'm in. But if he wants to be in the $15m and over tier of guard deals I'm letting him play out year four before I even think about that.
  20. Now that he has all this money I hear he's changing his name to James Chef
  21. Glad this wasn't a pissing match. Jerry Jones...take notes
  22. Better a clench than an unexpected and involuntary release. We are a much better and more dangerous team with Cook, and I’m fine with the terms. This could have been done sooner and with less angst, but it’s done and I’m pleased.
