    Exactly this. Why wouldn't they pay their franchise QB the going rate? His guarantee isn't even top 5 now. It will seem like peanuts in 2 years with the ever exploding cap. Why isn't this a smart move?

    He'll likely be better than the last 4 bums they fired. Veteran NHL coaches "are available" because they have been fired. Appert can't be worse than the previous. Ruff won't re-sign in 2 years so there will be yet another HC change. Team needs to be sold.

    I agree. Deciding whether to review a play is almost always overwhelmingly obvious to anyone watching the network broadcast. It doesn't take a ref to spot a bad call....
