Yeah you did. I wasn't paying attention. All good though. HEY WE GOT OUR TE!!

Yes, great job Bills!! We got a guy for the practice squad in Fine instead of a potential started in Davis...way to go!!

 Sorry. The draft turned sorry with that Corner pick so I tried to have a little fun. And getting the next "Official" pick post from you was my last best effort. Perhaps the day2 is not so bad afterall

Negatives: Not a true in-line blocking tight end because of a lack of size and strength (upper and lower body). ... Tough time getting off the line when threatened by linebackers. ... Does not possess great speed to threaten the seam in the Cover-2. ... Needs to fit in a very specific type of offense.

What type of offense is that?

What type of offense do we play, does it even have a name.

I have to laugh at most of this. "Our TE was still there" Who is this our?? The fans who are FANS and not in the NFL draft room, who have been looking at film, interviewing, etc. Why o why do fans believe every year that the names they have heard of and put on their draft boards are the players we need?? Talk about armchair quarterbacks...there is a reason we are all fans and not employees of the Bills. Be happy, we have new players for the team we love. Until they actually get on the field, who the hell knows how any of them will turn out.

Strengths:

Reliable hands...Versatile and he can line up all over the field...Nice ball skills and body control...Smart with great awareness...Knows how to get open...Tough and durable..Great motor...Hard worker..Lots of experience...Team leader and captain.

Weaknesses:

Average size and bulk...Marginal athleticism...Doesn't have great timed speed...Is not very quick and lacks a burst...Needs to get stronger...Sub par blocker...Won't do much after the catch...Can improve as a route runner...Not a fit for every team.

Notes:

He grayshirted in 2002 due to an injury and then redshirted in 2003..A three-year starter...Might be more of an H-Back...Also a terrific special teamer...Is not a great in-line blocker but could battle for a roster spot as a pass catching specialist...Has to find the right situation but his top-notch intangibles give him a fighting chance.

Overall: Fine signed with Kansas in 2002 but didn't enroll because of an injury. After redshirting the 2003 season, he played in all 35 of the Jayhawks' games (19 starts) over the next three years (2004-06'), collecting 52 receptions for 615 yards (11.8 average) and six touchdowns. Fine played in all 13 games (10 starts) as a senior, hauling in 46 catches for 394 yards (8.6 average) and four touchdowns. He also was a productive contributor on special teams coverage units during his career (11 tackles, 10 assists). Bottom line: Fine is versatile enough to provide depth for a team that likes to use H-Backs but he doesn't have prototypical speed or power so he projects as a seventh round pick.

heh.. says this about Fine...

i thought we were done with H-backs

Ok, let me get this straight. People are upset because the 9th or 10th TE chosen in the draft is not projected to be the next Antonio Gates?

You people slay me.

I'm not upset, but I think the people who are feel we are drafting projected 7th rounders in the 4th.
