Some of you are maybe too quick to give up the division.  What if Maye gets dinged vs. Ravens?  AI says Miami has a 1 in 3 chance vs. Cheats as of today.  Sounds about right.  Too bad it is not in Fishville.

Still rooting for Steelers tonight.  Miami going to be dead by week 18 is my guess, we need them to play for pride (gulp!)

It doesn’t matter.  We have to win out anyway.

Knock out Baltimore.

If Baltimore wins and the Pats lose to the Jets or Dolphins, which has to happen regardless, Bills could drop the Philly game.

We're going to beat them - they really will have little to play for.  Their urgency won’t be there.  Just being miserable in our weather.

Knock Baltimore out.  Go Steelers tonight and go Patriots next week.

Dolphins, I think, basically need the Texans to lose out and with a game against the Raiders for Houston, that’s not happening.

As pointed out above, we need to hope Miami is playing for pride and maybe some juice due to McDaniels uncertainty moving forward.

Don’t have to win out if the ravens beat the pats.  The pats really aren’t in this great shape people seem to think

One slip up and they’re in trouble.  Bills will very likely have them on the  conference record tiebreaker if the pats lose the dolphins (or jets) game.  Makin them fight for the division in those two final games could pay dividends even if they end up winning

Green Bay got wrecked by injuries yesterday and the Steelers would be trying to complete the sweep of the Ravens.

As others have explained, the Ravens game is irrelevant to tiebreaker scenarios between the Pats and Bills.

It's more important to keep the Ravens out.

The Packers are still a quality team with a very stout defense and good offense even without Parsons and Watson, and the Ravens struggle under pressure.   I cannot see them winning out against NE, GB, and Pitt.  And yes, I think that Pitt can sweep the Ravens because they're a clutch team while the Ravens are not.

The Bills just need to win out for the rest of the season, including the offseason. If they do this, who cares about either the Ravens or the Pats*? The Bills are due.

agreed.   with the Bills getting healthy now, this could be the year... lfg

Patriots. The Ravens game doesn't matter for us and the division. They would have to lose another game regardless. Whereas if the Bills win out one divisional loss for the Pats gives us the division.

If Baltimore loses to New England they are all but done I think.

Balt has the tiebreaker over Pit if they split and both finish 9-8 so need Pit to have a better record the next two games or else it will all come down to their game Week 18. Pit has a tough game this week too in Detroit.

Ravens, easy.  Gives us a margin for error to still win the division if we lose to Philly.

If you’re talking about the division, we have to beat the Eagles, and although a bruising defense, their offense has been anemic for weeks.  Since the Steelers beat the Fish, we want them to keep winning as it’s more likely the Pats still win the division.  We want them in week 1 of the wildcard.

Besides as anemic as the Dolphins looked last night, it is unlikely they can beat the Pats.  So the next best thing is get the Steelers and win wildcard weekend, then it will be onto the next highest seed.  I’m fine with playing the Pats in their house and destroying them like the perfect game.  Then we’d probably get the Broncos, Jags, or Texans in the AFCCG.

McD will never let Brady make the same mistake again with the Texans.  He’d keep his set to 12 personnel with Hawes and Knox chipping or plain blocking.  Knox becomes the safer valve, Cook or Ty as the RB, and whoever excels in the stretch to be the best two WRs.  Let me let you in on one guess.  It won’t be Coleman.

Thats my attempt at the chess game to finally get to the big party.
