Success Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago I just saw that he was NOT limping. I'll take that as mildly good news. Even when I stub my toe, I limp a little. Quote
DapperCam Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago Pretty sure I read a report he got an x-ray right after the Bengals game. Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago I am just hoping it’s not turf toe. That would Be a problem for a corner. Quote

If it's a toe injury, one immediately thinks turf toe / ligament. So it's less x-ray more advanced imaging to see what is happening. But hopefully it's super mild/grade 1, or just precautionary. That type of walking shoe (according to the posts), is used in more mild cases as opposed to a full on boot. Quote
Urban Achievers Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago I bet McD is even more upset with Beane about Ingram now. Quote

WotAGuy Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago There’s nothing wrong with his foot. He’s in concussion protocol and a symptom is him wearing that freaking boot everywhere. 1 Quote

Doc Brown Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago 26 minutes ago, BillsFanForever19 said: But the thought popped in to my head the Wednesday following Week 1. Ed Oliver was doing a presser that day and he was asked about the difficulties of putting the pads on Wednesday following a grueling Monday Night Football game. He said something along the lines of 'we killed each other for 60+ minutes on a Monday night and we're here on a Wednesday morning going full go. But that's just what we do' (or something like that). Ironically, that was the practice he hurt his foot in. We played on Sunday night and our defense was ran over by the Ravens. A message needed to be sent. Quote

Mod_Squad_Reject Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago (edited) I assume we’re still going full tilt in practice. Guys are getting worn down. At this stage of the season do we need as much contact practices or more walk - throughs? Edited 23 minutes ago by Mod_Squad_Reject Quote

It's ridiculous. I've mentioned this before, but I'll do it again. Most of the "mid week injuries" come from the previous game. These guys are constantly getting knicked during games, but between adrenaline, pain killers and just trying to push through, we don't hear about it. Plus a lot of injuries are worse a day or two later when the swelling starts. The reason we learn about them mid week is because that when practice resumes and the Bills have to release an injury report. This happens literally every season, just people haven't talked much about it. Now it's a "talking point" on the season. And it is something that happens week in and week out for all 32 teams. 1 2 Quote

I hear your point in the first paragraph, and think it's probably mostly spot-on. But I disagree that this happens literally every season - at least not to this extent. I've been obsessively following injury reports for decades and this year strongly jumps out as having a disproportionate amount of mid-week injuries pop up. Like, by a factor of 10x. Quote
