Heyward claims Josh hit him in the gut with a knee on purpose and the jawing back and forth which pissed him off.

So, he even says there that Josh said he had to do something to get Hayward off of him.  What am I missing here? Why would Josh Allen need to do that? Why wouldn't Hayward get off of Allen?  You are telling me something that minor, for a guy who has played for  ages in the NFL, set him off?  Whining about the NFL not protecting him?? Something doesnt add up here.  He must have a predisposed jealousy and/or hatred of Allen.

This.

Once Heyward started jawing with him it unlocked psycho mode Josh.

I love psycho mode Josh. 😤

Sal pointed out on the radio broadcast that Buffalo was kind of sleep walking through the game, and then came the late hit on Josh that wasn't called.  After that, Buffalo had a nasty edge.  To quote Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto:

"I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve".

Bills were happy to just play a kind and gentle game; then the Steelers chose violence and the Bills said “Oh, so that’s how you want to play eh? So be it.” And proceeded to pound them mercilessly

I think Allen needs to talk more *****.  Some players play better, some play worse when they are angry.  Allen plays better.

This. Put the MVP season on the shelf, and go out there and drag the team with you kicking and screaming. It’s the only chance we’ve got this season.

This is crap. Sal has completely become a corporate mouthpiece.

The defense was doing great things all day and it was a matter of time until we got a turnover. The offense during that same time struggled to establish itself and made a lot of mistakes. Looking back on it I'm blaming the new OL and Josh finding his way. The opening 18-20 minutes looked like a preseason game. Timing was off, blocking schemes were not being executed, even WRs only looked to be going through motions. What was working was the run blocking and running. Like a preseason game.

Take away your staring two OT's, a primary WR, and your primary target (TE) and you gotta find a way to adapt.

The team didn't look effective.

This is total nonsense.

The defense was absolutely bringing the lumber right from the get go and the offense was cramming the ball down the Steelers throat on both of the first two drives until more Alec Anderson mental errors put them way behind the sticks.

That Sal fellow must have been watching the game on the radio as well.

Interesting, because the players backed this up as well.

As pointed out elsewhere, the team agreed with the assertion that the Josh Allen hit lit a fire under them.

He may have gotten them good and fired up, but to say that team was sleepwalking is both inaccurate and insulting.

I was watching the punt fest early and if they were fired up, it was lost on me.

Josh Allen looked like a completely different player right after that unnecessary hit that somehow drew no flag. His whole approach appeared to shift — his reads were faster, he worked through his progressions cleanly, and he hit his check valves routinely. He also started firing up his teammates, yelling on the field (“let’s go!!”) and you could see a real, visceral switch flip in his game.

I don’t often like speaking on matters that cannot be quantified, but this was so obvious and so real.

I hope McD and Brady saw exactly what it means when we get Josh running and into contact early and often. It's the best way to get him into the game, fired up, and focused in on kicking ass. He NEEDS the contact, he NEEDS the chippiness.

Just now, T.E. said:

His emotions are all over the place during games, and McDermott knows that, hence the emphasis on not getting too high or low, a mantra Allen repeats a lot.

Not a bad strategy, but he plays his best when he's angry.

A perfect example of how McD is mishandling the Greatest Bill of All Time and wasting his career.

He doesnt need to be "steady", he needs to be pissed and hyped. That is when Josh is at his best. But McD seems to do everything possible to neuter that.

Run him a couple times early so he cant get contact and start jawing with the D, and then it's over.

You don't have to be playing well to be playing hard.

They may not have started out executing well with a lot of new faces in new places, but there was no lack of effort that deserved to be called sleepwalking.

They were well on their way to producing points on both of their first two drives until a pair of mental errors put them way behind the sticks.

It was funny watching Josh scream back at Hayward when he was up in his face. I couldn't make out what he was saying, but it kinda sounds like he was calling Hayward a *ildo lol.
