ShakAttack Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Steelers defense this season: - Allowed 32 points to the JETS(!!!) and Fields - Allowed 31 points to the Seahawks - Allowed 33 points to the Bengals (first meeting) - Allowed 35 points to the Packers - Allowed 25 points to the Chargers - Allowed 31 points to the Bears (last week) Or how about this: Have allowed 11 more points than the Bills D this season (compare that to the Texans who have allowed 70 less points than us) 2 Quote

The Bills were facing the #1 defense in the league on a short week on the road and scored more than 5 other teams, and other teams had just as disappointing losses (Eagles, Bucs blown out). Bills fans are prisoners of the moment. Yep. Week to week league, but the Bills are down a couple notches from the previous 3 seasons. Losing at Houston and understanding the variables you mentioned isn’t some awful loss. Losing to inferior Atlanta and Miami are why people are acting out to this 3rd ugly road loss. Had the Texans game been in a vacuum we all could have accepted it much better as one L, not a big deal. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago the Steelers are a 5-12 team that is coached up to a 9-8 ish team every season. They are awful. I cannot remember the last time they outplayed a good team and won. IF they beat a truly good team it's always fluky and usually involves special teams plays like blocked kicks and also several turnovers by the other team. They're frauds and win with smoke and mirrors. They can't line up and beat you. Nothing about them is scary. Couple that with the "Bills are done" talk percolating nationwide on sports media and here we go again. Narrative buster time where all the WR suddenly do great. Coleman goes for 75+ yards and a TD or two. It'll be like the Tampa Game but with a Steelers score: Bills 47 Steelers 13 If I were a gambler there is no amount of money I wouldn't bet on the Bills winning this game. 1 1 1 1 Quote

Same fans who now say that Beane is bad at drafting, bad at FA, is arrogant and refuses to bring in WR1, doesn't know how to manage cap, that we will never win anything with McD, who doesn't have his team prepared, that Babich is over his head, Brady is predictable and bad? That we don't have any NFL LBs, WRs are all jags, Dline is undersized, Tre is old and slow, etc. Fans "knew" all this before season started, so why was seed 1 expected? It just doesn't make any sense. If not the expectation it was the standard. It was known coming into the season that we had an easier than usual schedule and a weak conference to compete against. Imagine if before the season you knew we would beat Baltimore, KC would start below .500, and Burrow and Lamar would each suffer multi-game injuries. You really wouldn't believe that the #1 seed was very attainable? I personally hated the entire direction of the offseason but the standard was the standard. If this regime can't turn such favorable circumstances into a #1 seed, they never will. It's absolutely crazy that the conversation has gone from #1 seed, to competing for the division, to grinding it out for a wildcard spot. Even the most pessimistic fans on here didn't anticipate such a stark fall off. Edited 41 minutes ago by HappyDays 1 Quote
Bangarang Posted 24 minutes ago Posted 24 minutes ago TJ Watt needs 85 sacks to tie Bruce Smith for the all time lead. I think he can get close on Sunday. 1 Quote

I saw much on hear about there was no way we were going to lose to lowly Houston particularly with Davis Mills. Well, the Texans are 6-2 over their last 8 and the offense has been playing better with Mills. Yes...the Bills looked bad...but the Texans are not an awful team. I've been saying this for years....the "bad" teams are still decent, they just tend to make more mistakes, like turnovers, penalties. All the great NFL coaches of past & present say games are decided by about 5 or 6 plays. Pretty spot on. Quote

I think you are talking about the Eagles. Leading 21-7 at halftime and losing 24-21. Also, had to edit as I dont think the Eagles are the worst team in the NFL, far from it. But after the collapse, the media is having a field day. I guess thats a good thing for the Bills, takes the attention off their performance vs HOU. Edited 9 minutes ago by Aesop Quote

I watched that NFC game with dispassionate interest. It was a good watch. I watch Bills games like my life depends on the outcome. What's interesting about this upcoming game is that both teams are coming in after losing games that they should have won. Remember, they just lost to the Bears. It being on the road makes it even tougher. The Bills are similar to the Sabres this year. Beating high level opponents (BAL, KC, TB ..Redwings, Carolina) and losing to bottom feeders (ATL, MIA...Flames, Blues). Edited 3 minutes ago by Aesop Quote

Urban Achievers Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago Please for the love of God let one of two things happen. 1. we win big and get our juju back and play with fire for rest of season 2. we lose in such crappy fashion that it forces terry to make McBeane go bye bye at season end or sooner Love, concerned Bills fan Quote
