We ran out of bodies

Anyone acting like the Bills WANT to be in this position is not a serious person

Is this the Bosa season ending injury we have been waiting for?

You can keep saying this all you want but it's simply not true

Michael Hoecht was a backup. Their two starters have been playing all frickin year.

They have everyone at dt playing except Oliver.

If you trade up high in the second round for a defensive tackle then he better be making a serious impact.

It's been 9 years dude TJ Sanders or someone like him should be looking like Jalen Carter at this point and it's simply not happening.

McDermott and beane can't use it as an excuse because everyone in the entire universe knew that Bosa was severely injury prone and was going to get hurt...

This is why ppl were begging him to get Josh Sweat and then make a bold move , like getting abdul carter or at the trade deadline

Brother we ran out of bodies at DE to the point that we played a rookie DT completely out of position just to make it through the game.

This isn't a discussion about player quality, the Bills literally just need the best available warm body to plug into their DE rotation.  That's likely Fox while Lawson spends a couple of weeks getting in shape so that we have another body in case someone else goes out.

Why do we just continue to add these guys back? I’m tired of seeing our old retreads being signed he isn’t good, he’s never been good even in his “prime”.  We invest in DLine every year yet here we are again with Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson for their 18th time in this roster.

It didn’t work the first 17 times we these guys, guess what it won’t work the 18th

These retreads are really getting old.  It is the same excuse, they know "the system"  Well, you know what, the system sucks, time to change the system.  I would sooner see the Bills pick up a newbie off some other teams practice squad.  They just may find someone worth keeping.

But I think like Epenesa played like 22 snaps and Solomon played 5.

Like Joe Marino said, why wouldn't you just bump the snap count up to 30 for AJ and like 15 for Solomon, and put TJ back is natural position, and take out the liability in Jordan Phillips?

Does not make much sense to me

They wouldn't.  There isn't that much DE talent to go around.  Anyone with the ability to come in and make a plus impact is already on a roster, it's a premium position for a reason.  RB, TE, and S are the only positions where that might be feasible and S still needs time to acclimate to a defensive system.

If we don't bring back Mike Tolbert and Kelvin Benjamin, what's even the point of this season.

You forgot Chris Kelsay and Coy Wire.

Nothing like bringing back the TBD whipping boys!

Solomon is unfortunately pretty garbage at DE and iirc Epenesa is nursing an injury.  The org isn't just doing this for fun.

You guys are being ridiculous pondering why the Bills don't unearth gems like "Will Anderson or Jalen Carter" in the draft.

Those guys were the best defensive prospects in their respective drafts.

Anderson went 3rd overall because of QB's and Carter was only available at 9th because of the fatal car accident he might have caused and refusing to work out.   Despite those enormous red flags he went 9th.

The Bills haven't had the ammo to trade up that high since the year they got Allen.

I want Beane to do better but I don't expect him to find the 1 of 1 in drafts when he is drafting around 30 every year.

Ok but The options are play Solomon more at his natural position and let TJ play his natural position while taking out Jordan Phillips who is horrible.

Or play TJ sanders who is useless at end and continue to play Jordan Phillips.

It is a pretty easy choice IMO

The Colts had Lawson in for a workout 2 weeks ago along with 5 other Defensive ends.

Bill polian was willing to trade up for Cornelius Bennett. He kept nagging the colts even after the draft because of his contract situation

He then gave up two number 1s, a 2nd & Greg Bell to get it done

Dallas just traded for quinnen Williams

I would be more patient if this was like a year 2 or year three

It's been 9 years bro... 9

In 9 years has beane done anything resembling the Bennett trade when Allen was in his 20s, to help pair him with a game changer on defense that is young???

No. He actually did something stupid by destroying his cap by giving a 33 year old de coming off two serious injuries a contract that is to this day an albatross

No rumors nothing about beane trading up for a Jalen Carter or abdul carter

Tired of the nonsense. It's frickin depressing

And now I have to force myself to pretend Greg Rousseau and TJ Sanders are going to get it done in January, when we all know it's probably not happening
