milfandcookies Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This is how football is for everyone. We have just been extremely lucky with injuries for the last 4-5 years and blew it Quote

I would think a guy with one arm is not better than the backup.... I know, I couldn’t believe they waited so long to pull him. Those are the tough decisions coaches need to make. You can’t expect players like Brown to pull themselves. He is the type that will go until he physically can’t or is pulled. I was stunned they left him in so long. 1 1 Quote

With the way he's played this season, I don't imagine the fall off between him and the next guy up will be all that great. Spencer Brown though is a gut wrencher. He may be our best Offensive Lineman and one of the best Right Tackle's in Football. Pretty clear that IR or not, we're going to be without either for some time. Hopefully Brown isn't down for the year. That would be a killer. Honest to God, I know we wont.... but id prefer we lose a bunch the rest of this season. IR these guys and dont risk anything further. Blow up the staff in off season, or bare minimum get serious about bringing in real coordinators. Id genuinely prefer we miss playoffs. We need the better draft picks. If we can we basically start the 're-load' early, and that might help us next year, but at worse re opens 2027 as a true window. 1. Move Kincaid if we feel hes near peak value. We cant keep extending injury prone players. 2. Move Big Ed. This again salary + injuries Move. 3. Knox. Gone. Milano gone. 4. Shop Torrence. I could be convinced either way depending on what the return would be. 5. Shop Shakir. Hes a nice player, but hes a fancy tier 1, #3. We dont have a number 1 or 2. Gotta do what ever it takes to get those. We won't be able to get tier 1 for both the boundary spots... draft one and trade for one is probably the way to plug those. 6. Shop Dawkins. I hate it, thats my dude.. no thats not because of false starts. Hes no spring chicken, hes salary is starting to climb right around the time his play level is going to start to dip. Idk what kinda value hed bring, but id quietly find out. The good news? Bishop is gunna be fantastic. Benford rebounding it feels like. Hairston looks good out there, after a mega abbreviated TC, missing 10 games (pre season wouldve helped him too). concussion makes me a lil nervous, but that's probably more my Bills ptsd than a valid concern right now (btw... did Cole Bishop dish that out to him? I saw him friendly fire at least once last night lol) Im not at 5 star alarm on Bernard, ive watched him super close last 2 games, and hes only out there because everyone else is beat up. Dude cant run right now, looks like some variation of lower body injury, the kind that sucks but fine long term. Let's hope we can get 14-15 really solid games a year outta him, hes a plus player. Im frustrated, but not enough to be irrational like other L's. I think these are all pretty even keeled ideas. Were not gunna trade kincaid, Oliver, Shakir and Torrence in an off season, but id hard shop Dalton & Oliver... kick around idea of 1 of the other 2. Quote
JerseyBills Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 🤣🤣 this season is crazy I'm confident in our depth at both positions though, don't feel like it'll make or break us Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Is Tylan Grable ready to come back yet? What's up with him? Forgive me but not gonna miss Bernard Quote

Forgive me but not gonna miss Bernard That's actually a good question. He has an abdominal issue and lingering concussion symptoms (which was the official designation for his IR). I have to imagine it was a Tyler Bass type issue where he's probably good to go, we just didn't need him with RVD and Lundt behind Dawkins and Brown. But maybe now they consider returning him from IR now. Quote
RobbRiddick Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I think we're getting to the point where we should just write off this season and hope a disastrous end will cause Beane to take a very hard look at rebuilding this offense by investing in some genuine WRs in the draft and FA. A new offensive coordinator would be nice too (there's zero chance McDermott goes anywhere) 1 Quote

JaCrispy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago In my mind we are playing for draft position at this point…9-8 is a real possibility 1 Quote
notpolian Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Bernard is no big loss. Brown is a bummer. I've torn up my shoulder via sublux and dislocation. It hurts, especially with reaching, which an OL does every stinking play. 1 Quote
CirclnWagons Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago Brown looked a half step behind all night. Houston does have an insane pash rush though. Love the effort Bernard plays with but it’s a tough league for a 180lb middle linebacker. Quote
