SCBills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I said in another thread, his attitude is emblematic of a major underlying issue this team has. Dawkins just wants to vibe. Which is fine, but not when you’re a team leader on a team that hasn’t even been to a Super Bowl. He said before the season “it’s never Super Bowl or Bust” and proceeded to give a five minute explanation why. His play on the field has been uneven, and last night, piss poor .. but he then says outside his locker that we weren’t out-physicaled. Ok, buddy… whatever you say. Soft. This whole team outside Allen, Brown, injured McGovern and Bosa gutting it out with one hand, are soft. I’d throw Bishop in there with how he’s been playing. Blew up Nico and is one of the few bright spots on Defense. 2 Quote
Nuncha Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Dawkins just stops. Josh is scrambling around, and he is standing there. HIT SOMEONE MAN! He is going to get his QB killed. Edited 1 hour ago by Nuncha Quote

Long Suffering Fan Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago Yes, I noticed that too. Here is what makes it worse. Allen is amazing at avoiding the first rusher...if there is only one rusher getting through. What is much harder is avoiding that first guy and, because someone else begins to ease up on a block, there is no where to go. You don't even have to give up on the block completely for this to be a problem. You just have to lose a little intensity. Finishing your blocks should not be just for run plays. Stay engaged/connected to your man. You know Josh can scramble so your job is not done when you stop the initial rush. Make the guy work hard to get off your block before he can chase Allen. 1 Quote
JPL7 Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago Even my wife, who knows diddly poo about football, noticed it and called it out last night. Quote
Billsflyer12 Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago He is also 31 years old and likely past his prime. Maybe why he leads league in false starts also. He is one of way too many on this team who are vibes guys first. Too many on this team think a Super Bowl would be nice, but doesn’t represent the undying goal to chase at ANY cost. Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago This team is too soft. Allen is too soft, like Stevie Johnson said h4 needs to be more of an Ahole. 1 1 Quote

When your Quarterback says in an interview early in the season that winning a Super Bowl was no longer a must for him, you've got a major problem. Time to shake things up and not just with the half wit wideout. 1 Quote
Einstein Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago He did it several times yesterday. Allen is desperately trying to make something happen and Dawkins decides to give up halfway through the play. 3 1 Quote

Mentally, I’d agree. Physically, he’s the toughest player I’ve ever seen in my life. But Mahomes has that burning desire.. that mental fury inside him. It says a lot that we are all “whoaaaa” when Allen yells “What are we doing!?” to Trubisky after another Brady disasterclass. That shouldn’t be so rare given where we are right now. Mahomes has multiple Super Bowls and still is maniacally driven to get back. I’ll acknowledge it’s probably tougher when you feel you’re swimming upstream against the current that is Beane/McDermott compared to Reid/Veach. 2 1 Quote
Not at the table Karlos Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago I’ve been telling my friends all year. Dawkins controller died again. Quote
Success Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago I keep wondering if the team feels like we do. They probably do. For us, nothing really matters but a SB now. We're not excited about the regular season, or regular season games - we have a spirited thread going right now about whether this team is even fun to watch now. And I have to believe the team feels that way. I don't think this is fun for them anymore. They're pros and should be able to rise above that, but human psychology is human psychology. Quote

I mean he held up 1v1 for 3.5 seconds against an elite pass rusher and probably gets a holding call if he tries to re-engage after that. 1 1 Quote

This is the excuse for the Chiefs. And it’s valid considering they turn it on every postseason. Our group hasn’t even made a Super Bowl. Has never been the 1 seed. I suspect you’re correct, but it’s comical that you are. 1 1 Quote

Who on this team from owner on down do we think that winning a Super Bowl is something that they HAVE to have? Something that is the most important thing that drives them at any cost? Not sure there is many if any, and that is the way they want it. Quote

He holds out or demands a trade this team is nuked from a cap perspective AND Terry better know how the fanbase and media would respond. Crap like last night further makes me think he will pull a Barry Sanders. We all see he looks and acts different, and I dont care how much you love something, people and events can steal that passion Quote
