I'm pretty sure he is the greatest pound-for-pound football player I've watched in my lifetime.

 

Glad that Cowherd said this, particularly the part about how Allen is so much more intregal to his team's success than any other QB. He's been the MVP in a literal sense every year this decade, and would be the consensus first pick of a hypothetical draft where all players were available.

and our inept GM still can't give him enough help on both sides of the ball to win a championship. It's maddening.

Allen does more with less than ANYONE in the league.  And it's literally been almost every year.  He epitomizes what it means to be the MVP imo.

I'm there too. When at or near his best, no one comes close.  Last year he was damn near perfect until the start of the playoff loss (but he righted himself after a couple of series). However, he still occasionally regresses and struggles with consistency.

We should thank him for possibly letting JA fall to the Bills. I remember during the 2018 draft when Cleveland had the #1 pick. There was a rumor going around that Cleaveland was interested at taking Allen #1 over Sam Darnold. He went on a rant saying that this is why Cleaveland will always suck for even thinking about taking Allen. He was loud about it and said it often. Funny stuff to look at it now.

I'd argue we have a top 5 starting  RB and top 5 starting  OL in the league. While we don't have a NFL #1 WR our WRs on the whole as a group above average. When Kincaid is in there he's a top 10 TE. Knox is an average #2 TE. So as a whole I think our offensive talent might be top 15 QB which hardly horrible. Just average. I'mMaybe I'm a homer in this thinking but an curious your thoughts on more talented teams? As teams like Cincy and Miami have better WRs they don't have the OL. Philly might have best starters in the league but depth to me weaker etc.

I would like to see upgrades at WR 1 and WR 2, but the offense really isn't the problem. It's the other side of the ball that is the issue. You can't have a run defense this bad and win a Super Bowl. It will be the defense that lets them down again in the playoffs this year as well.

The run defense needs to find a way to stop long runs. Not sure it players/scheme or both. Yet still plenty of weeks til playoffs to start to shore up schemes/get healthy. If anything this season is showing were still overall a top team in record and most stats except run defense.

From a physical pov Randy Moss and Megatron better than Rice was. Yet didn't have benefit of coaching under Walsh who a top 10 NFL coach and arguably top 5 offensive minds.

This. The Bills run D actually does a good job on most downs. Its those long runs that happen a couple times a game that skew everything.
