Oh yes. The end around of DOOM

Patriots with Brady ran screens and jet sweeps for 20 years and it was awesome

Bills literally can't run either lol

I remember last year ty Johnson caught the screen vs the Rams for the td. I went into shock lol

This could be a straight up punitive thing but it has the whiff of something deeper. like, this staff doesn’t know how to use talent, especially on offense.

they jam the guy in at wr 1, something he’s not suited for, and he, predictably, underperforms.

Is this McDermott sticking it to beane or Brady scapegoating Coleman? Or is it as simple as Coleman stinks or is a cancer?

It’s days of our lives at one bills drive.

Diggs underperformed at time and slouched effort... He was never pulled. He was a top 30 player in the league and still a top 12 WR.

Coleman ain't that. It shows he doesn't have effort and because he has no effort he gets no results.

So beane sucks or Coleman sucks or both?

Well, if they ball out in spite of the weather, that would be saying something.

Who knows, last year the excuse was Keon is only 20 years old.  Maybe this offseason, the excuse will be he is still only 21 years old.

no, in perpetuity WRs get “moulds didn’t break out until year three”

linebackers are 14 years old and will grow into the game when they hit puberty

you have to keep your stories straight

Last year the offense took off when the corpse of Amari Cooper at least forced teams to worry about him.

Prior to that Mack Hollins was simply a guy we kept launching deep shots to with Coleman-like efficiency.

Is it an amazing WR room?  No.

Can a 26 year old healthy Gabe give us more than half retired Cooper?

Can Palmer give us more than Hollins?

Id say there is potential for that answer to be yes.

This is an alarm stat.  But is this stat about the lack of talent/production from Knox, Moore and Curtis or is it about Joe Brady and his scheme?

I think it’s more of an indictment on Beane signing C players to B contracts and B players to A contracts whilst also not using them.

an alarming stat is: “46.7%of Khalil Shakir's receptions this season have come from passes caught at or behind the line of scrimmage

that’s just on the offensive side of the ball. We’ll save the absurd contract talk on defense for another post.

Yes

Davis on field = run

Davis off field =pass

Good news is, since he’s new,  it’ll be midway into the 2nd quarter before the other team notices.

Rousseau and Oliver and Kincaid along with Hairston look like excellent picks

I'm critical of Beane a little bit come on....

Rousseau at the end of rd1 is a FRICKIN home run.

Kincaid has had a few good games and can’t stay healthy.

Hairston again, he’s spent the majority of his rookie season injured, so I’ll have to reserve judgement. If he can stay healthy, maybe he finally got one.

Rousseau is a solid player, really difficult to call him anything other than that. He’s not a sack monster as mentioned, and he’s supposedly all world against the run, but the Bills are currently the worst team in the league vs the run... It’s kinda hard to quantify his actual impact out there when he doesn’t get to the QB regularly and the run D is currently at an all-time low. He’s not a game changing difference maker. Personally, I think it’s a waste of cap to pay $20 million a year for a guy who can’t regularly pressure the QB as an edge rusher. He’s basically Chris Kelsay… I’m tired of the excuse “they’re always drafting at the end of round 1”. Trade up, draft better players, trade your picks for proven commodities, there are ways to do it. Beane’s way clearly ain’t it, because the other two teams always drafting at the end of round 1 along side the Bills keep popping up in the Super Bowl…

Greg Rousseau completely dominated KC and was a massive reason we won.

He's not Bruce Smith....

Other than that he's one of the more dominant des in the NFL.

I've watched football for many years and have compared him to Sean Jones and Charles Mann.

Calling him Chris kelsay is just silly

I like Groot, so don’t get me wrong when I say he needs to be better. Consistency is the issue with him. Most of his career it’s been chunk production in handfuls of games.

Last year I thought he was solid throughout, this year seems to be on par with 2023.

Dominant is however, not a word I would associate with him. Flashes of it maybe. Dominant is Myles Garrett, Aiden Hutchinson, Nick Bosa and Maxx Crosby in the league today.

Quality edge player, sure.

Chris Kelsay had 32.5 sacks throughout 10 seasons.

Greg Rousseau has 28 through 4 and a half seasons.

He's better than Kelsay. But not quite Aaron Schobel yet. Though Schobel didn't become a Pro Bowler or an All Pro until Years 6 and 7.

Does coaching play a role?

Everything plays a role and Coleman is labeled a pro but these guys generally don't get the mindset and dialing in until 3-4 years. So he maybe a pro but he's not a true pro yet.
