Replace McDermott? Daboll? That would be an absolutely horrendous move.

Gotta bring in a new offensive minded HC with a different system.  Trade Coleman and get the WRroom upgraded this offseason.

Even when Palmer was healthy they still weren't using him much as a down field threat

Yea.. I think there’s a ramp up between Josh and Josh that needed to happen.  Then he finally looks like he’s coming alive down field andddd he’s been injured ever since.

It’s a lot of ifs, but it’s all we’ve got.

Bills Offense should be focused on getting Allen chemistry with Gabe and Palmer as soon as possible.

And who is responsible, in part, for Allen, every bit the equal of Burrow, not having a single WR on the roster who would be considered above average in the NFL?

I saw that Allen's QB rating was 151.5 (from pff) when targeting Kincaid.  Yet as you note Kincaid is not on the field as much as the stats demand he should be.

Good point, kincaid needs to play at least 60%-70 of offensive snaps so we can disguise the opponent's defense.

If Norwoods kick was not right, then...

For this particular game, I think the precip and winds are going to be a big factor.  Need to get the running game established early.  Field position, which the Bills are near the bottom of the league at, will be important too.

From NWS

"Lake effect bands will become better developed Sunday afternoon/evening through Sunday night as lake induced equilibrium levels rise up around 10k feet and the northwest flow will support lake connections with the Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. Snow accumulations of a few inches will be possible east and southeast of Lakes Erie and Ontario, but forecast uncertainty is medium at this time as guidance continues to depict moving lake effect bands. The greatest snow amounts can be expected over the higher terrain south of Buffalo where a better upstream connection is also possible with Lake Huron and even Lake Superior"

We 100% need a PR this week who is not Shakir, given his injury status, be it Hardman or Codrington with Hardman much more able to be a WR4 compared to Codrington being a CB4.

they could just use Ray Davis in a pinch. If Hartman is going to just do punt returns then they might as well just save the call up and use Codrington.

Almost no chance of snow during the game as it will be too warm, with temps near 40 and current forecast shows low chance of light precip early in game (20%) to none later in game (0%).  If game was being played Sunday night then this might be a concern.

Greater concern will be wind which seems to be at peak strength precisely when the game is happening, 20 mph with higher gusts. Allen should have a huge advantage in that department as he has the stronger arm and much more experience with how the wind works...and we have seen him throw the ball in much windier conditions with surprisingly little impact.

Should make for a typical interesting kicking game with some passing issues as well interspersed...look for balls tailing out of bounds down the sidelines or throws sailing high.

I get that it's all you got. I will ask this though. What if this what they are?  A 10-7 team at best?

Everyone keeps comparing this team to past Bills teams in the Allen era. "They always have a mid season funk, then rifle off multiple wins to an AFC East championship".

IMO this team is nothing like those teams.

If history holds, they have alternated 13 and 11 win seasons for 5 straight years. This would be an 11 win year.

Then they go on a heater in the playoffs until the D folds like a cheap tent when it matters.

Pretty sure it "didn't look like those teams" when they were 6-6 two years ago either and 3 games behind the Dolphins in the division at that point.

The only thing I care about is that they peak at the right time. If they do that and the D plays with a purpose in the playoffs they can do whatever they want.

I get we want to write narratives, but the narrative on this team is that if they focus on the task at hand and play the way they are capable of, they are a very difficult out. There were 3 games where that wasn't close to happening and all 3 were losses.

Bills are supposed to be a good running team, and TB a bad run defensive unit. But I assume TB coaches will have adjustments in place and we’ll have nothing but the usual schemes.

Maybe but Daboll isn’t the answer. He is a terrible HC.

Overly simplistic fix to make the offense more readily versatile: start using the pistol formation.

I think it was on Amherst St in Black Rock but there used to be a dive bar called "The Pistol Dawn Tavern." 😊

There... now you've gone and done it...

You knew it was gonna happen.  They are pissed, need a win to keep up for home field throughout the playoffs, and we are ripe for the picking.

Mayfield is gonna play his arse off after last week's collapse.

Mayfield is the ultimate gamer... he plays hard always. Recall his scramble in Fayetteville, Arkansas when the cop crushed him against that concrete retaining wall... Baker never stopped fighting on that play.

Exactly! Sound advice for anybody.

All kidding aside, it’s something that is dearly needed around here. People get very worked up about things that they have no control over. That is a recipe for unhappiness. The Serenity Prayer is easy to say, but much harder to live. We’ve had a lot of practice, and it can still be a challenge at times. I can become ashamed of myself when I get too worked up. It’s not good for me or for anyone around me. So I try harder.

Ray Davis is averaging 1.8 yards per carry this year from 24 attempts (44 yards) - he has barely contributed anything outside of his receiving TD at Atlanta.

Do something positive on Sunday Ray, the team needs you.

I think it will be two practice squad elevations on D this week, Morgan Fox and a DB. Having Codrington active is a real option, he also needs a big game if he plays.

2 wins in 5 days then 10 days off would be huge, of course it could go the opposite way too.

1-1 will make me happy for 10 days

yeah Ray has been pretty worthless this year. All I’m saying is he could catch punts instead of wasting a call up on Hardman. I can’t imagine the guy knows much more than a handful of plays yet.

Mac Jones has entered the chat.
Tampa has a strong run D, and if they shut it down, it won’t matter how strong Allen’s arm is. I think the game will be won on the ground; Bills need Cook to have 100+ to win.

This is the same team that gave up 2 55+ yard TD runs to Traveon Henderson last week.

I doubt we see another poor performance like last week in the pass game.

Plays were there to be made, once again Allen and the offense in general looked completely unprepared to be able to take advantage of them.

There was one play in particular that showed exactly how bad it was when Allen bought a bunch of time, drifted to his right, got near the sideline and then threw it away.

On that play he had 3 receivers that were open, almost immediately and before he bailed from the pocket, that he could have thrown to, decided not to throw to 2 of them and then didn't see the 3rd.

It was one of the worst games from a "mentally there" aspect that I have ever seen from Allen in terms of the difference between what was available versus what he actually did.

Same can be said for the OLine which was just downright bad all game long as well.

This coming on the heels of one of their best games against a far superior team and defense.

This was nothing other than a completely unprepared and unfocused team last week on offense that thought they could just show up and dominate like they always have against that team.

Didn't work out for them. I truly hope they learned that lesson for the last time this year.

As the song Legendary asks:

"How many times must you learn the same lesson?"

As I posted up thread, both long runs were because of poor tackling and bad angles at the second level. Overall they’ve been pretty good up front on D
