CirclnWagons Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Even a once in a generation talent like Josh can’t throw the poor excuse we have running routes for us open. He likely hasn’t had this little talent on the outside since high school. The WR room he had at Wyoming no doubt surpassed what we currently have talent wise. He literally has the weight of the entire organization on his shoulders with a front office and coaching staff who proved once again with Beanes inability to make moves by the deadline and Brady continuing to be incompetent as a play caller, they expect him to do absolutely everything. I’ve said it several times, I legit appreciate Beane and McDermott for bringing us back to legitimacy but they ain’t it. Gotta get rid of them or give Josh an out so he can get to a competent organization that will make the most of his other worldly talent. I hate to see him go the way of Marino and never see a Super Bowl ring because Beane and McDermott embrace mediocrity 1 Quote

I mean when the guy first got here Andrew luck was still a franchise QB. Thank you for reversing the fortunes of this team but how many more chances is he getting? Every single one? Does he get Josh’s entire prime? Does he get his entire career? Like FFS man when do we say enough? Before this guy is a statue…we gotta see if someone else can get us what we want. You can’t just keep writing off seasons. Nobody is getting any younger here. Is the guy going to get 10 chances? It’s truly ***** us here. You gotta go to McDermott and say like, you got this run. Get to the Super Bowl or can we move you to the front office? Please, or else it ends in a way you won’t like If you think McD is the biggest issue, ehat head coach is doing more with this roster? Maybe we have a better record, but are we a SB team? Issue is the roster construction and waste of resources at key positions. Beane has to go, its that simple. McD has built a poor coordinator group around him. He at least can cover for the defense, but hes made some poor decisions at OC over the years. We need a GM capable of finding outside "talent", coaching and players. Head coach to me is fine its the coordinators, which is a direct reflection on Sean - so if thats enough for him to be let go, so be it. But I think Beane struggles with football talent evaluation, he had some strong cast surrounding him in his earlier years here --- now we see his true colors. Quote

BillsFan130 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Watching the rams against SF with that receiving talent, combined with Sean Mcvay calling plays? It legit looks like a different sport. So many easy 10-20 yard throws for Stafford all game long 2 Quote

Once again, they come into a game looking slow to start and have no pulse on offense. A new WR would not cure this. Game plan, execution, and QB play that is erratic. The O line was good enough but when Miami put 8 to 10 men in the box they were over matched. Allen has to check out of that. The passing game and routes they run are uninspiring. Defense is injury ravaged and played well until they collapsed in the fourth quarter. Sloppy play across the board. Strength and conditioning needs a hard look with all these soft tissue injuries. Once a one seed pick is now a fight to make the playoffs. I have been a fan for 60 years and this is one of the most aggravating teams to watch. On paper, this team is awesome, but the injuries have rendered them into a middle of the pack team. Looking forward to the draft is premature but not too far off. A win against Tampa Bay will not soothe these wounds. D not giving up 3 scores on the first 4 drives would be helpful. 2 of them long time consuming ones. Our O gotta play almost perfect football. That’s tough with this group because we wasted pretty much every asset we had this offense on the D. And despite all the additions, we gotta lean back on over the hill vets McD loves Quote

Fleezoid Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Queue the Beane / WGR interview. And we know all we need to know going forward. Beane should have egg on his face after that one. Those were fair questions and have been all year. I'm so angry now I'm comically not mad. Edited 2 hours ago by Fleezoid 1 Quote

Now I agree with them. This roster is hot, smoldering garbage. 1 Quote

This is probably the worst WR room in the modern NFL era. Combine that with extremely predictable playcalling and we are seeing what it looks like when a generational talent is handcuffed with trash around him. I saw a guy giving it his all while nobody else stepped up at all today. A total team failure that starts with the coaching. For anyone who doesn't agree, I'd love to hear what QB they think is successful with this group of bums who look like they're just jogging around out there. Quote
NORWOODS FOOT Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 2 minutes ago, Dick_Cheney said: What do you expect? Allen knows better than anyone the reality of the situation. I'm sure early in the season he had hope that things would somehow gel and it would work out, or god forbid we'd bring in actual talent. That clearly hasn't been the case, and the crazy thing is, there are numerous free agent WRs who are markedly better than what we are working with, and it's a crime we haven't brought anyone in, and if we still don't after this week, then I really don't understand football. The problem is two fold. Allen's weapons are limited so the passing attack or downfield whatever you want to call it is essentially non existent. Not only does this suck on its own, but it pretty much allows the defense to limit everything else you try to do to compensate. I'm tired of people showing the occasional downfield catch as proof that we do indeed have a legit passing game. We don't. Statistically speaking, any QB will make a downfield throw to somebody here and there. That's not enough. There's no consistency. The second problem, which is becoming just as much of a problem if not a larger problem then that, is again, JOSH KNOWS THIS. It's in his head. He's thinking about it all week at practice. He's looking at the gameplan and just thinking oh jesus christ here we go again. And then when he hits the field and is once again hit by the train of reality that is the fact he has nobody to throw the ball to, it's over. It's in his brain and it's under his skin. It then impacts every other aspect of his game. He knows it's on him to make something happen. It's hero ball. It's reckless decisions praying that it works because doing things by the numbers just isn't an option anymore. That turns into interceptions. That turns into fumbles. That turns into the game we saw today. There are 2 possible solutions. Get rid of Brady and come up with some brilliant offensive scheme, or bring in new players. That's it. That's all there is. If nothing changes, expect Josh to continue to regress toward the mean, and kiss our season and the playoffs goodbye. Very well laid out. If Bills fans aren’t sick of McBeane yet it’s due to delusion of some sort… hope, marketing, not understanding the basics of football, etc. The offense is screwed yes. But the defensive cupboard is also bare due to poor drafting in general. As you point out, Josh KNOWS. Must suck. 1 Quote

Maybe the Dolphins get careless, fumbles happen or they get cute and throw an incomplete pass. Maybe we pull within 3 with 2 TO's remaining? There was 3 minutes left in the game and the Bills had 3 TO's and the 2 minute warning. Your guess is as good as mine. I honestly have no idea. I was just laughing while I watched it. And of course there was a penalty so it wouldn't have counted even if they did recover it. 1 Quote
