I know his smooth running style and body control prevents him from taking a lot of big hits, but he is getting too much work imo. The problem is the Bills entire offense is so extremely reliant on him. If it feels difficult to remove him from the field because there is such a drop off, then it calls into question another area of roster building and depth where Beane deserves scrutiny. That would imply you need to have someone close to the best RB in football as your 2nd or 3rd RB. Anyone who has an Elite RB has this problem. If you have someone like a Cook or a Taylor, you're going to have a massive dropoff if they go down. League wide, 2nd or 3rd RB's are fairly unimpressive ball carriers. Like the best situations league wide are going from Bijan Robinson to Tyler Allgier or from Christian McCaffrey to Brian Robinson. And like having a decent Backup QB, these are outliers. Most teams with good to very good RB's go from a James Cook to a Ty Johnson or Ray Davis. Edited 8 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

You are correct. There certainly are. McDaniel is in over his head as the head coach. And there are a lot of distractions in South Florida. I live part time in Fort Lauderdale. And my boys who are in their 20's live in Miami. A lot of fun, (if you know what I mean) that can take your focus away from what you should be prioritizing. In the high rise I live in down there, I rode up the elevator one day with this huge dude. I had a Bills T shirt on. And he made a favorable comment about Bills Mafia. I asked who he was. And it was Patrick Paul. The Dolphins Left OT. He was real friendly. Just massive. And I am over 6 feet. Quote

As we get into the latter stages of the season, I suspect we will see Davis and Johnson get more carries. With that said, Cook is elite and will most likely get 16-20 carries per. 1 Quote

We paid him and we should use him, he’s our best player not named Josh Allen Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Everyone likes to question Strength & Conditioning but one thing i've started to wonder about is if McDermott pushes guys too hard throughout the week. On top of the injuries week to week, we seem to have a lot of injuries occur outside of Game Day. Quote

That doesn't seem crazy to me for RB1 Put it this way... last year Cook averaged 15 touches per game. This year he's averaging 21. While to some that might not seem like a lot, it's a 40% increase in workload and for a running back, that's a lot. 10 hours ago, jlatas said: 9 hours ago, Allen2Moulds said: Hold them out against Miami. 9 hours ago, billsfan_34 said: No we need to win. 9 hours ago, Generic_Bills_Fan said: If the pats weren’t breathing down our necks we’d probably have that option but I don’t think you can risk it here. Division record is gonna be huge. Pats and bills should both end up 4-0 against everyone else and if the bills win the rematch with them it gets pushed to conference record where the bills have a pretty big edge at the moment. Dropping a surprising one against Miami probably blows the tiebreaker for good if it was the jets who just traded away a lot of their team maybe we could get away with it but Miami still has a little bit of juice 9 hours ago, RoyBatty is alive said: Totally disagree. This is the NFL, on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team. Certainly if rest them if it makes sense but NOT because you think Miami is a cak walk., sends the entire team the wrong message and sets us up for the feared "trap game". Obviously we can't rest all of them and obviously we can't play all of them. Just like the discussion of who we cut when Ogunjobi and Hoecht return from suspension, this is a situation that's gonna take care of itself. 4 hours ago, BillsFanForever19 said: That would imply you need to have someone close to the best RB in football as your 2nd or 3rd RB.
