100%

I would have probably paid the price for Shaheed. With that being said, 31 NFL teams had the opportunity to pay that price and would have acquired him for that. Not one of them offered more than Seattle. I feel like we were desperate enough to do it but that tells you what the league thought of the value.

Why not, right?

We have to live in the Beane reality.........he traded the second round pick he got for Diggs to move up for TJ Sanders in the second round.   For 13 months that was supposed to be this important foundational re-stocking pick and he traded it to move up for the modest producing, 3rd best player on his college DL in TJ Sanders.

These picks are not really THAT valuable in real time.

Some of you act like this franchise is so darn desperate for wins of any kind. And yet have been 3 points away from advancing or going to the SB the last two seasons.

This is a playoff team that just beat their biggest nemesis in KC and the defense came alive in that game hitting Mahomes 15 times while containing him from running.

The Bills have WRs Josh Palmer and Gabe Davis waiting in the wings and DE Landon Jackson that could see playing time in the future. So while this GM attempted to make some trades it simply didn't work out.

The sky is not falling...just relax!

Can Shavers actually get open though ?

I thought I saw him on the field against the Panthers. Imagination perhaps

He's on the field alot, really good as a blocking receiver downfield. He just doesnt seem to be getting targets. I wish Brady would include him a bit more. I would love to see what he can do. To be fair...Moore and Samuels dont get a whole lot of targets either. All 3 are fairly fast!

And I have since 1960.  And fans are not taken for granted.  Quit thinking your opinion is the only thing that matters.

Does anyone honestly believe Beane just sat around doing squat the last couple days?  You have to have a partner to trade with.  And you have to believe the deal you make avitally improves things.  A guy like a Waddle would at WR, but does a Myers or Shaheed?  One can argue no. I wanted Jeudy but apparently he wasn’t on the market.   Would have loved another DT like Williams but the Jets apparent were not trading inside the division.  So many think Beane can just snap his fingers and get whatever he wants.  That is not how this works.

All these great excuses for not making a deal yet Shaheed was a perfect vertical, stretch the field guy that Seattle, who have a better receiver room than us, picked off. All these 2and 7 teams and Beane couldn’t do anything? The Jets ,who are cleaning house, would have listened to offers  for Quincy Williams. Plenty of others that Beane wouldn’t pull the trigger on because giving up draft capital is out of the question. No #1 or #2 receiver on a team with Josh F-ing Allen. Pitiful. You need my opinion because all these young bucks on this board get defensive when management is questioned. I went through 2 decades of coaches and front office people stumbling around making this franchise a joke. When you draft the best QB in football, you must surround him with quality skill position players and a respectable defense.

He hasn’t done a good job with a lot of them. He’s specifically been bad at WR. In a year, he traded Diggs, a great WR draft, he traded down twice and took Keon. He couldn’t have believed, “this is the best way to get a number 1 WR.” If he would have went up and been wrong, so be it. He didn’t value the position enough and still doesn’t.

Wonder how the media will respond to zero trade deals being done

Is that how you determine the success/failure of the trade deadline? Do you think they know the details of the offers?

I thought the bigger problem with that play was the stupidity of taking the decision out of Josh Allen's hands while he was clearly on a heater.

If Allen checked into it he was wrong but I don't remember thinking that he did.

I think that was the only moment I got genuinely pissed when they were on offense.

No but the Bills were one of many teams trying to acquire a WR. 2 guys got dealt so that’s the value that we know. I would have paid that price for Shaheed but Denver didn’t, New England didn’t, Bills didn’t, Baltimore didn’t, etc.. Seattle did. All of those teams should be considered contenders.

Again, I would have paid that price but no NFL GM did.

That’s a good point

but New England is in year two of maye, their time clock is completely different than ours

Baltimore has receivers that can stretch the field and have shown they can when Lamar is playing. They needed defensive help and they got some, we didn’t

Like I was saying, not every time is in the same spot. We needed WR help and came away with nothing, that’s not good enough

Ownership has a sold out OLD stadium and a lot of cash from seat licenses and season tickets in the NEW stadium!  They are happy!

Great points, why rock the boat. Let’s wait for fans with bags on their head, before looking at how the team is run.

Thats a dumb ass coordinator mistake - who keeps thinking that play is going to work.

He beat the Vikings in the playoffs a few years ago.

I stand corrected as he was with the 2022 NY Giants, was thinking of with the Colts.

His OC back then was Mike Kafka and his new OC is Jim Bob Cooter

He’s right

Josh Allen is a generational talent, we probably won’t see a qb as good as him play in Buffalo the rest of our lifetimes…. To act like you don’t have a unique opportunity because you have Josh Allen is purely moronic

No, he's not right. No one is saying Josh isn't a unique talent, but to frame it as about Josh's legacy is what's moronic if you're actually a Bills fan. This is about the BILLS, not just Josh. We don't know what was offered and what wasn't. Maybe doing nothing was the correct decision in this case. But acting like we desperately needed to do something through the lens of Josh being better than Phil Rivers is beyond stupid.

The point is to win a Super Bowl, your best chance is during Josh’s prime

“running it back” without ever pushing in all your chips is moronic because you are literally talking about insanity

Josh Allen is our best chance for a Super Bowl, to act like he isnt is moronic.

He deserves Better roster construction than this, and it’s really that simple
