That was pretty early in the year. I would almost throw that out at this point. They aren't getting stopped anytime soon. Of course, they CAN be beat, but looking at their schedule, they have 1 game that could present a problem for them (at Baltimore). Otherwise, should be clear sailing.

They aren’t unbeatable. They are vulnerable in the middle of their defense in coverage, and their RBs have been super meh.

At some point teams will start to lock down the deep passing game and make Maye dink and dunk down the field. Happens to every young QB after they earn that respect.

They said Purdy has a chance to return and start for the 49ers next week.

The better question is...should he? Mac has looked solid for them and they are winning. I mean, ultimately, they will play Purdy because they paid him...but it just points to another reason why paying him was a mistake.

You'd have thought he'd have earned that respect by now.

Nobody has ever been afraid of the Dolphins despite a couple outlier Tua performances.

Comparing that pie in teh sky Miami team with a fundamentally sound and well-coached Patriots team is apples to oranges.

I was comparing a team that was very hot, well coached, with a young QB playing out of his mind

To a team that is very hot, well coached, with a young QB playing out of his mind...but is some how inevitable based on 8 games worth of film.

Coordinators probably thought they could bait him in to youthful mistakes.

Certain QBs just get that cover 2 shell most of the time. It will happen to Maye too.

Falcons should remember they have Bijan on team on 4th and two.  They need to run ball to have a chance in this game

Unfortunately that only works against offenses that don’t have good receiving options to pick away at everything in front of the shell.

Patriots have that.

I think the league knows Maye is good. He's in his 2nd year...and his 2nd year of being good. In the regular season anyway, they don't really have much standing in their way. Of course, anything can happen any game, but...
