Even when the other 52 are great it all sputters… and their 52 aren’t particularly great. This should’ve been a soft ball and it was. We needed that. 100% you play the team across from you and they are an nfl team all wins count the same and drawing a line in the sand today was important. im glad we had Carolina on the schedule today and not a tough matchup though. I mean a below average qb with a great running back pretty much embarrassed us before the bye so Id call this progress at least 😂 1 Quote

I think AJE making his play was the lynchpin because suddenly Dalton needed to mount an impossible comeback. If it had stayed a one possession game at that point, Rico Dowdle would have impacted the game. AJE has had a couple of pick sixes similar to the one he had today ... gets close to the QB in the "shadow of the end zone", blocks a pass, and grabs it for a walk in TD. 48 minutes ago, brianthomas said: Yeah Dowdle was gashing us. Had a 6.8 yard avg & was their best player on offense & they just sit him. Part of it was game script of course but it reminded me of how we've been under-utilizing Cook. But our run D didn't exactly stop him out there. Regardless with the games ahead, we'll have a pretty good idea of what we have when we're thru. Hoping for the best. And for the day Ed Oliver can finally stay healthy Dowdle has gashed almost everybody this season. He had back-to-back 200+ yard games in the last 3 or 4 weeks. 2 Quote

I saw a stat that said Dowdle is the #1 RB after contact in the NFL and that Chuba Hubbard is the absolute worst, and yet the Panthers are forcing a split carry situation presumably because they refuse to let Hubbard lose his job due to an injury. Held their opponent to: under 10 points under 250 yards They also generated 7 sacks and forced 3 turnovers. I know your not going to get numbers like that every week, but somehow if they did…the Bills wouldn’t lose a game the rest of the season. The newcomers looked good today…be it off injury, suspension or practice squad. Deone continues to really impress me for a young guy in that spot. AJ had a nice game…it was nice to see a game where they were firing on all cylinders. I’m excited to see what they can do against the Chiefs next week. I think the defense’s performance was about as good as we could have hoped coming out of the bye and with the reinforcements in the lineup. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the defense. 3 Quote

We're not gonna look anything like that against Mahomes. Tet McMillan was open for most of the day. It's on the DL but ya Dalton had some easy throws that were just terrible Quote

The Chiefs game will definitely let us know where they are at as far as the D is concerned & the offense to for all that matter . Quote

The Pats might legit be good. The Falcons are inconsistent but talented. The Panthers are a bad team masquerading as average. Quote
Buffalo Boy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Listening to Charlotte sports guys this morning, it was inexplicable that Canales didn’t lead with Dowdle and actually had Dalton holding the ball as much. Next week we are going to get a clearer view of what we have Quote

Indeed... win is a win... you take em all... but in the end I am not convinced this defense is capable... I have concern that McD is calling the D... not that he is doing it, right move, but that he has too... what is Babich for... again, why is he here... why are we not looking for a defensive mind... McD struggles with HC decisions and now he is calling Defense too... situation not optimal... improved for this game... but not what I would say is functionally sustainable Quote
