TFBillsfan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Coleman played 45 snaps today! With Palmer out due to an injury, he was absolutely invisible. Rooting for him, but it’s obvious he’s looking like a #4 WR at best. Even worse, I’m not even sure what his role is as he just doesn’t fit into this offense. He’s not doing anything particularly well or consistent. Shavers and Coleman are basically the same at this point. I just don’t see how they can watch film and be “we’re good at WR” Quote

muppy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 26 minutes ago, mjt328 said: WRs are not getting open consistently and protection has been very iffy at times. The coaching staff has also made him overly cautious about throwing interceptions. Josh used to be a player who pressed downfield throws when he got frustrated. Now he’s become basically the opposite kind of QB. All the other offensive issues have made him hesitant and jumpy in the pocket. He bails out and holds it even when plays are there. His ability to escape pressure has decreased this year too. Nobody wants to admit it, but this may be age related. Hope not. Only time will tell for sure. The obvious answer is that we need to get him reliable help at WR, but I’m skeptical anything will happen. This post reads very logical and based on what I see valid. Thank you for this and not blaming wifey lol Blame Hailee seriously? Is this a joke? 1 Quote

We demand MVP level play w lesser talent and coaching I understand all of that yet at the end of the day the Giants won the super bowl versus an undefeated New England Patriots with their third receiver having less than 300 yards on the season Josh Allen is the greatest talent I've ever seen in 35 years of playing coaching and scouting And he has the ability to get it done when it matters.. I believe that.. we have more offensive talent than that Giants team Which had an old plaxico burress, an old Armani tumer and their number three wide receiver one for 300 yards 1 Quote

How sure are you that he “likes” shotgun and 11 personnel and throwing 30 times per game? He's openly said in the past that he likes being in the shotgun. Pretty sure all QBs prefer it. For the second part- I have no evidence or quotes to back what I'm saying like above, but Just watch Josh Allen since 2020. He's by far at his best when he's throwing to shifty WRs and has rhythm in terms of attempts. Quote
Dr.Sack Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It’s fun watching a team win 40-9 and people want more from the QB. My guess is Allen will get his chance next week to be Superman. 1 Quote

You don't think that's way more of a mental hurdle than anything a football player is throwing at him when he's a football player? No he's definitely going through mental hurdles right now also.. before he married that woman he was a football player If you have a spouse that support your dreams 100% that's amazing.. if she's telling you you're more than your career that has given you a platform I don't know I mean I would want MY wife to think I am more than just my chosen career. What is exactly wrong with that? It doesn’t mean he’s gone soft or is going to retire early. Allen doesn’t take the beating a guy like Andrew Luck or David Carr took. Even when he does get hit, he’s good at minimizing the impact. The NFL has made tremendous strides in protecting the QB. I think Allen is too much of a competitor to leave the game early. I can honestly picture him playing until 40. Who knows what medical technology will be available by then ? Quote

Tom Brady did leave his wife because he was a football player and she wanted more Josh is always identified as a football player who only wanted to bring a championship to Buffalo .. now he's thinking he's more than that because his wife is telling him that This is the highest level muppy.. until you call it quits these guys have to identify as football players.. because the second you think you're anything more you're losing an edge Even the smallest Edge is big in the NFL where there's guys who put their body on the line every snap Quote

tigerthelion Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 1 minute ago, thenorthremembers said: Josh Allen is not Tom Brady. Looking at our passing offense would you really choose to throw it more? At the moment, probably not. I would prefer to build the team around their best player, but the team has obviously not done that. I think building around your franchise QB generally gives your team the best chance at winning. I would rather have some actual NFL talent at WR, and maybe 30 to 35 throws a game. Cook could still get his 20 carries, and he should be a way bigger factor in the passing game, also. This team is not realistically challenging for a Super Bowl without Allen being their best player, in my opinion. Quote
26TrapDraw Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 hour ago, QB Bills said: I know the Bills won big today, but it wouldn't be TBD without the usual whiners like me to come by and complain. I'm a bit concerned with Allen's game right now. He hasn't looked like his usual self for the majority of the season. Missing open receivers, not being able to escape rushers, and just looking kinda flat out there emotionally compared to what were accustomed to. I know the receivers don't create much separation, but it's not like they revamped the room this year. It's mostly the same guys he had last year and although he wasn't lighting it up in 2024, he was still fitting the ball into really tight windows. There isn't a lot of that this year. I know it's not popular to criticise him here, so for the record, I'm one of his biggest fans. But out of all of the problems this team has, Josh Allen's play is the most concerning for me. Not that he's been horrible, but this team has no chance if he's not far and away the best qb in the league. Well he doesn’t have to be the mvp every game . It benefited us today that cook went off. Your not wrong however. His play has noticeably declined. Quote

Allen2Moulds Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 5 minutes ago, Einstein said: Well said. When you have a top 2 QB in the league, of course expectations will be high. That said, Josh and the whole passing offense looks off. To me it's a combination of 3 or 4 things. 1. The oline not playing as well, leading to a lot of hard hits against NE and Atlanta. 2. Not trusting the WRs to win, or be in the spots their suppose to be in. It's leading to a lot of 2nd guessing. Hence the comment about trusting his feet. 3. Joe Bradys subpar game plans the last few weeks, and how he chose to attack certain teams. Failed to attack the middle of the field with TEs and backs against NE, a weakness they've shown. Abandoned the run against a fast but light Atlanta team. That should've been a bully ball game like the one today. 4. Accumulative effect of 1-3. Quote
harryS Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's in a small slump that he will probably break out of in a big way next game. Wouldn't surprise me if he caught fire in Nov/Dec/Jan as he's done before. Quote
