DrDawkinstein Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Think I'd rather get LB Logan Wilson from the Bengals and move to a true 4-3. Quote

Weird Keon Coleman straight up lol I mean… Lawrence will throw the jump ball far more than Allen and they don’t have a slot only guy and a receiving TE occupying the slot, so maybe moving Keon around would unlock him more. I don’t think that’s an outlandish idea. Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The guy quits constantly and doesn’t want to go after balls where he can get hit. No. I don’t want him. Quote

BTJ has been off this year (him and Tlaw just not on the same page, couple bad drops, new scheme they arent' using him the same etc) but looked like an absolute superstar second half of last year and would be an incredible get for the Bills. Instantly the best receiver on our team and changes our entire offensive outlook. The fact we could possibly by slightly low on this guy given the awkward first few games he has had this year would be amazing. On 2nd year of a rookie deal that includes a 5th year option. Get it done Beane!! 2 1 1 Quote
skibum Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago There's probably something wrong with him in the character department. Why the heck would the Jags trade away a first round pick halfway through his second season, when he had an outstanding rookie year, they have a young QB in need of weapons, and they are in the playoff hunt? 1 Quote
Pecker Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is a 100% absolute MUST TRADE for the Bills. He is the guy we should have taken last year. 1 1 Quote

Sure maybe slightly, assuming we switch to a 4-3 base, rather than nickel, which seems unlikely. Still, doesn't address the two tremendous needs we have on our roster, WR and S. Safety play has been AWFUL, both in the run and pass. Rapp is not a starting caliber player and Bishop has talent but is so inconsistent, he's a liability right now. We have to add a solid piece there, entirely outside of any run D concerns. WR is also a must, Josh needs help. Teams are rushing 5, bottling up Cook and DARING the Bills WRs to beat them. We can't keep putting it all on Josh. Edited 3 hours ago by vtnatefootball11 Quote
jahnyc Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I could be off on this, but weren't there some character concerns raised with BJT before being drafted? I do not recall anything specifically being identified and I may be misremembering. Quote

HappyDays Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 45 minutes ago, dpberr said: There's something wrong there. My impression is that he took some massive hits last year from Lawrence's passes, and mentally, he's doing things now to avoid getting hit. He was a fantastic WR with Mac Jones there because Jones placed the ball better. I legitimately think he bails out on plays so he doesn't take a hit. If that's the main issue I'd take the risk. Allen is one of the best at leading his pass catchers away from big hits. We have to accept that the best WR1s are going to come with some temperamental issues. I get that Diggs was an extreme case who basically forced his way off the team, but we can't let that experience scare us away from adding top tier talent. All that being said I can't imagine he actually gets traded. It would be one of the more shocking trades in NFL history and I doubt a new regime wants to deal with that media firestorm. 2 1 Quote
BlueRed Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I wonder what the price would be… a 1st seems like too much. Maybe a 2nd and 4th, or 2 3rds … are the Jags that ready to move on from him? Quote

Agree there clearly some frustration and things have been off, but at this point for the Bills sake... who the heck cares!! He's an unbelievable talent and we so desperately need it, you think Josh Allen couldn't help get him motivated? We have a strong, almost choir boy like locker room. We can take a guy or two under our wing. We don't have a realistic chance at the superbowl this year with our current roster construction. it would take a miracle, hero ball perfect play by Allen essentially the whole year. Sucks to say but it's the truth. Nobody on our offense even remotely worries teams outside of Allen/Cook, and teams are rubbing that in our face daring our receivers to beat us. It's embarrassing honestly, and so predicable even prior to the season. We have to do something. We cannot waste Allen and not get a superbowl. Capitalize now while things are sour in Jaxsonville with BTJ and get a slight discount. 1 1 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) BEANE - YOU NEED TO MAKE THE CALL! I would give them a 1st + another pick/player. Size, Speed, Youth, and Cheap!? Are you kidding me, how has the trade not already happened? Thats how obvious of a move this is. If I am Beane, I am not worried about how off he is this year, make them an offer they have to take and just get it done. Don't low ball this for leverage about his season this year playing with a trash can QB to where someone else makes the better offer. Go get him, and we are in the same conference, we will have to be the top offer for them to send him to us. And Beane better get on this, with BTJ rookie contract, he will have a LOT of teams who can afford to make this trade. Edited 3 hours ago by Alphadawg7 3 1 Quote
