Can't see it happening, really. Wouldn't mind a bit if it did, but the likelihood is just miniscule.

 

Haven't kept up with Thomas, really, so I can't say anything either way about the folks here saying he hasn't been very good this year. Interesting, and it makes you wonder why.

 

But again, can't see this happening.

Groot is living up to his pick. Not exceeding it, but he's living up to it. Oliver keeps improving, he also is playing really really well. This DL is a different entity when he's in there.

 

Kincaid shows signs of becoming a top five TE, and soon. Not there yet, but he's very close.

 

Certainly Elam is a failure, even if he seems to be significantly better in the different system they're using in Dallas. In ours, though, he simply wasn't good enough.

 

Edmunds played really well. It's not a mistake that he got what is now, two years later, still the 3rd highest ILB contract in football according to Spotrac.

 

People hear someone is a 1st rounder and say, "How come he's not playing like this guy, who was top ten, and this guy who was top five and this guy who was #12?" It's a lot harder to get players with genuinely huge impact late in the first, it just is. It happens, but at lower rates.

I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all. Oliver is a huge letdown for a top 10 pick.  You say he “keeps improving” which he does, but hes been in the league too long to still be waiting.  He is also a huge letdown for his $24-25 million cap hit.  That’s a MASSIVE contract.  Both Oliver and Groot can go for an entire month or more without making a single impact play.  Total inconsistency.  Groot at least has a low cap hit the next year or two.  But to my eye AJE generates more pressure on 1/4 the snaps.  And don’t get me started on how good he is against the run, because it certainly doesn’t show, or help the team.  
 

Guys like them not producing are literally why we have struggled to win the tough games. 
 

if Oliver were Jalen Carter or Chris Jones we’d have won a SB by now.  
 

Kinkaid is a pretty good pass catching TE but he’s hardly a complete TE and he still isn’t impactful enough on a consistent basis.  Is he really any better than Knox? He is used differently, he’s basically a big WR. He can’t hold a candle to old A** Kelce 

 

and for the record, I think Oliver could be a cut candidate this offseason, his contract is way too high.

seems like BB either undervalues wide receivers, isn’t great at evaluating them, or maybe both. Here’s another possibility: maybe Josh, since the Diggs trade, has had more sway in those final decisions. I’d assume 17 has a veto or at least a vote on the final options.

Maybe Beane see the BTJ's year 2 film and gets a stiffy.  BTJ is probably still flashing too much talent but you never know
