Poyer can't be worse than what Rapp was putting on tape this year. He's been a borderline good safety throughout his career, but his play absolutely fell off a cliff this year. 

He got hurt in the playoffs last year and it kind of got forgotten about it. I wonder if he's just not the same after that inury, and whatever this "lingering knee" is. 

I'd like to see Hancock get some run, but if the coaching staff isn't comfortable putting him out there yet, I trust that that's a good sign he wouldn't be an upgrade. Can't think of any examples where the coaches were hesitant about a guy and then proven wrong about their hesitation when he finally played.

Cole is playing well. Rapp is the worst player on the field- including the other team.  Rapp used to be a great tackler.  Now he lost, bad angles, avoids contact, and as many missed tackles as last year already

Meh. Cole is playing okay. He still makes too many mental mistakes and there is still a play a game where I feel like a really basic mental error by him is giving up a critical play. He has made some splash plays this year, that at least to some extent can offset the mistakes, and that is progress. There are steps of progression with him but he still has a way to go. Agreed Rapp has been awful. I actually don't think this year is the exception to the rule. This is kinda how he played in spot duty in 2023 and for the majority of his time with the Rams. Last year was the exception when he did, I concede, surpass my expectations. That is now looking like the anomaly.

I think Poyers presence on the field in a live game will help Bishop grow tremendously. At this point I would think Poyer is like a player/coach.

On first glance, i question Poyer over Damar.

 

But Poyer does bring that aggressiveness i suppose.

I want to see them experiment with Taron at safety and Hancock at nickel. But I expect the reverse to be tried.

I have 3 Poyer Jerseys.  Poy was always one of my favorite Bills.  I have 3 Milano.  It’s been a pleasure watching those two smashing opposing players routinely.  Bills Squad Jerry O said “who brings the juice on D now?”  Poyer and Milano brought the juice!  Both make game changing plays with intensity.  It’s electric- those big plays get the whole team pumped up.  It’s a power surge - you can feel it.  Ed brings the juice.  And IMO Hoecht is bringing a 55 gallon of Juice to Carolina.

McD is one of the worst media coaches, I don't know if it's nerves or what, but he constantly says weird stuff that just invites speculation.

not opposed, but highly unlikely they've even considered it.

Put Hancock anywhere in the secondary IMO.   Just get him on the field

I don’t agree that McD is the worst coach.  But he says weird *****.

 

last week with Palmer McD said “he might play Sunday against Carolina.  Or he might go on IR.”
