On BetMGM, Bills are currently the Super Bowl favorites at +600.  Other contenders include:

Chiefs +650

Lions +750

Packers +800

Eagles +1000

Is Vegas and the betting public just ignoring the Bills’ last two games?  Or are there some reasons we shouldn’t be jumping off any bridges just yet?

Its because they have seen a pattern pretty much every year with us where we suck for 2-4 games.  Like suck.

Like losing to the Jags coached by Urban Meyer suck.

The problem is….they’ve pretty much sucked for 6 weeks but it has finally caught up with them the past 2.

Not playing up to their standard doesn't mean they sucked.  They sucked these last two weeks.

If were were top 3 in scoring and you suck, that's a pretty good suck.

I was really impressed with Oliver & Walker yesterday. I think Hoecht will actually be a very big addition, especially against the run.  If Hairston plays like a high round pick, I could see the defense being significantly better than what we have seen so far.  They won't be elite, but they could crack the top 15, which is what we need.  I'm hoping for an add by the deadline in the secondary.

On offense, if we can add a WR - in addition to getting Kincaid, Palmer & Samuel back - we can be a 30 PPG team again.

Of course, we'd have to stay relatively healthy from there.  But if we can, we can still be one of the top 3 teams by the end of this season.  Parcells used to say that the season didn't really start until November, or something like that.

Unfortunately, defense is also a thing.

Yeah for sure.

Having to rely on Ogun, Hairston and Hoecht is not something I wanted to be in position for.  We need them badly.

But Hairston is also a question mark because he's a rookie.

We need safety's badly.  I don't know what Rapp does to keep his job.  There are big lanes to throw to all the time for some reason.

I had the endzone view yesterday and saw it all.  It's nuts.  I can see read where the ball needs to go to as fast as Pennix sees it.

Rapp just is never around the ball and dives at ball carriers, never wraps up.

I bolded 2 things

the secondary  is IMO the most glaring need with the roster

health indeed matters a great deal

I will as always hope for the very best for our team. GO BILLS

the odds makers (something i've done a bit of myself, altho i admit im a fool for the bills so i let that go most of the time) have a much more sober view than we fans do.

the bills have had this near exact pattern, and finished as few as 13 seconds from advancing past kc, who just about every year threatens to get to the super bowl or does get there.  they also try to balance their book and change the odds as money comes in, but these kind of bets will most often rely on their model of who is likely to get there.

based on all of this, i suspect mcd makes a splash move w the coaches, likely takes over play calling, and at the least screams the riot act to brady.  also, some kind of wr or secondary player trade.

Truth is, there isn't a complete team so far this year. All the top teams have their warts.

Fanduel has similar odds -

Bills +650: We know our issues

GB +700: Lost to Cleveland. Tied Dallas. Lots of injuries to WR.

KC +700: Slow start but getting guys back. Defense didn't start strong.

Lions +850: Lost to 2 top teams. They at least can destroy the teams they should.

Eagles +950: They feel like frauds at times, barely hanging on like Buffalo.

Rams +1500: Hot and cold

No clear cut powerhouse this year.
