Penix is also a tier or two down from Maye and will hopefully help us with a few misses here and there on key downs. The matchup isn't that bad imo. Perhaps I should have better qualified the worry I have as I’m not concerned about our offense; it’s the matchups we have on defense vs their offense. Quote
rjbbills Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) McDermy and posse watched some film. Not sure if it was on the Falcons. Maybe Gone With the Wind (based in Atlanta for you young kids out there). So we don't prepare for "the Falcons". We go with our generic game plan (aka The Process). Falcons get over 150 rushing. McDermy and Babbi-***** are shocked. Will need to watch more film over the bye week. Maybe sit a few players for the next game for some odd reason. 4 and 2 and behind the Patriots. Hate to say it but this team has shown nothing in the way of improvement. Teams are not scared of the generic game plan. Good game for Atlanta to improve on some stats. Oh, and Beane looks to see if there are any ex-Bills players not on any teams to add to the practice squad. All is good. Edited 2 hours ago by rjbbills 1 1 1 Quote

Our D HAS to make a stop. Not only did they look pathetic on the final Pats drive, we let them waltz down the field. maye made some spectacular plays on that drive and so did Diggs. But don't tell me it was one penalty of lining up incorrect or turn overs. We had takeaways too. Our D is getting pummeled this year and when we face a good team like the Pats and the Falcons, it's gonna be a long night. Yep - this. And, Atlanta gets to gameplan vs our Defense. I mean, cmon... Our D is closing in on league worst. "Our D is getting pummeled this year and when we face a good team like the Pats and the Falcons, it's gonna be a long night." - No worries. We're watching the film and adding ex Bills players to the practice squad. Got it all under control. I think the offense will bounce back, and the defensive reinforcements, especially Oliver, should make a difference, but they're no juggernaut the way they have been in the past. The only real hope of going all the way is that no other team looks great, either. Or that Hairston is a revelation and someone tells Brady that Kincaid is on the team. Or Beane trades for a CB and WR. Or all of these things. Agreed. Some years there's a clear cut best team in the league. Some years it's about which team is peaking at the right time. 5 hours ago, DrDawkinstein said: Greater than 50% for sure Considering this is Penix's 10th career game and 8th career start, there's a good chance that he's improving and will have his best NFL game so far. 4 hours ago, HereComesTheReignAgain said: Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha...You said "Hard on". 2 hours ago, Psautcsk said: Remember the Flames?
