Defensive pass interference rule in 2025

I am having an argument with a friend about DPI. My question is ; can a defensive player get called for DPI in 2025 without touching the receiver?

That was soooo DPI on Shakir it’s crazy they never even showed a slowed down replay on it.  The league benefits greatly off this Pats win.  The excitement in Boston over this game will translate into greater profit.

I think he was referring to the PI on tre with Diggs.  Tre barely touched him...with his chest...when Diggs was technically already out of the back of the endzone.

Yeah lots wrong n there goes our undefeated season. Or….. long season.. See who survives the battle of attrition. … That was discouraging but we’ll see adjustments and improvements as we progress. …

It’s tough seeing what’s a penalty and not when in the stadium. 
 

I guess if they did show it on the screens, they think it’s a penalty. If not..I guess not.

 

I’d like to blame the loss on the refs, but really need to see them when I rewatch on tv.

There was a play in the first half where the Pats CB  had an obvious grip on the collar of Keon Coleman.....no call.

 

Officials were squarely on the side of the Pats tonight....just like in the Brady/Bellichick era.

Keon was grabbed on the collar by a face guarding DB, but we saw no call. Apparently the memo to call DPI on the Patriots didn’t go out.
