I’m not even a McD hater but if the defense stinks it up in the playoffs again my vote would be for literally anyone else. He’s a good coach but at some point you have realize he’s not quite good enough to get us to the promise land.

Playoffs? We have played down to 3 of the last 5 teams we've played. It's a nasty trend and it solely falls on McDermott. Tonight's loss hurt being a division loss, whereas the next 2 games are against the NFC. The defense is already in playoff form, but against far less formidible teams including NE

I don’t disagree with what you said but yes, my only concern with the defense is how they play in the divisional round and beyond. We went 13-4 last year against a tougher schedule with a similarly ranked defense and our only loss this year was mostly on the offense.

Your point about going 13-4 last year on a tougher schedule is a valid point. Which makes this year even more mindboggling. I feel sorry for Josh and the workload being placed at his feet. Seems the Bills are a bit too enamored with Josh making low key WRs in to somebody like he did with Mack Hollins

He definitely has more on his shoulders in the passing game than he did in 2020-23. Thank god for Cook and the OL or else the offense would’ve regressed a lot.

Yeah but as good as Josh is, even he can't mask our defensive deficiencies

Scoring 30+ points nearly every game is a pretty good remedy for a lackluster defense but yeah, games like this makes it harder to gloss over the defensive deficiencies.

Like what?  Bills have only lost by more than 6 points ONLY ONCE in the last +50 games.

How is that a D deficiency?

They play complimentary ball, that's what gets them all those wins...

That's my point, there will be games like this again, especially against better teams. We may have an easier schedule this year, but KC and Philly will boatrace this defense. I don't think as good as Josh is that he can overcome that, this everybody eats offense isn't very effective. Brady has tried to be cute too many times when the score is too close. And also, you gotta remember, 30+ points we've scored have been against below average defenses. Lacking a true number 1 receiver will keep hurting us as the year goes on and as of now, we lack that

For me, this is an end of year conversation.  Besides, the ownership group is nit going to fire him.  You can hate him if you desire, but he's not going anywhere.  I know many are emotional after a seriously disappointing loss.  To me we just played sloppy, and we should refocus for ATL, and Carolina. We are missing Oliver.

The thing that really eats me up is the Bills HC opened up,  there would so many big name guys bidding to be able to coach a team with Allen as QB.  My concern is both Beane and McDermott are wasting Allen's prime years and spending all top picks and free agent money on defensive side of the ball,  just living off of Allen

That’s the only correct answer.

Unfortunately never gonna happen. More likely that rather than us get their Sean, they throw the kitchen sink at us in 2-3 years to get Josh to replace Stafford, and as much as we all love Josh could anyone honestly blame him for trying to get a ring if he has to put up with the same cr*p from McDermott and Beane for the next 3 years with no weapons and no Super Bowl appearances?

I'm sorry, but wtf?  I love my Bills, but the amount of people that complain about coaching is getting insane.  Bills are still 4-1, and lost a game imo because of players, not coaching...and ppl are calling for coaching change.  We lost today by players fumbling...crap calls from referring (sorry, that was not PI on White) and a team that is a division rival.  Loses happen...stop blaming coaches.
