You can't shoot yourself in the foot that many times and expect to win...... Yes Maye played well, but if the Bills didn't turn the ball over, and if the Refs wouldn't have been in the Pats pocket, this would have been an easy win.

I hope the Bills enjoy their slice of "Humble Pie", and come out ready to play from the beginning vs the Falcons.

Go Bills!!!

I shouldn't post when overly tired and emotional. Saying that, I'm still doing the tired bit. I've had under three hours sleep, but the emotions have settled somewhat. I also realise I have these emotional reactions after every loss then have to grovel so it's going to seem quite shallow right now.

But I do want to apologise for the post immediately after the game. Maybe some of it was based on my truth (I do wish Josh would cut down on the commercials!) but the phrasing could have been better. And he definitely deserved the opportunity to make a jibe post Ravens. But it is a shame it didn't work out last night.

I will maintain, for me, the offense was the main issue. That's not to say the defense and ST were blameless - nothing of the sort - but there were too many errors over the game to get over the line. The All-22 will be interesting to see, as a cold rational look rather than emotive, how the last proper drive planned out. Was there a lack of open receivers? Were potential successful plays missed underneath?

My main concern is this defeat was coming. It's not as if the Bills have looked like a smooth operation coming into today. We've relied on big plays and moments to defeat poor teams. Today an average team came in and turned us over. The one is not as secure as it was 24 hours ago, and neither is the division. The shadow of the Chiefs is growing and the Patriots are in with more than a sniff. The AFC seems flawed his year, no team is anywhere near perfect. I think the two most complete teams are in the NFC (though, as said, I think the Chiefs might be starting to click). We need to take advantage of the good position this puts us in, and yesterday was a failure in that regard.

When does it all end? Asking for a friend.

Christian Gonzales made 2 great plays to have us settle for a FG on that last drive. Was going to be tough if we didn’t punch it in for 6 there. Think if Josh feathers that EZ throw to Keon further outside he has a better chance.

I was just saying this last week, but the whole "a win's a win" mentality only works for a little while. HOW you win does matter.

I'm not glooming & dooming just yet, but the Bills pulled this nonsense in 2022 & it looked really bad.

They finished the year with close wins against the Jets & Dolphins, followed by ugly wins vs the Bears & Pats. Then they win by 3 points in the WC game against a Dolphins team starting Skylar Thompson.

Really hoping the team finds a way to make corrections much earlier than that & clean up their act. Josh has gone back-to-back weeks throwing an INT. Team is playing undisciplined again. A win against the Falcons isn't going to win the doubters over, but they've got 2 more games to get things right before KC comes to town.

Normally I'd agree, but the defense wasn't the problem today.

They forced a fumble, got 4 sacks, stopped the run for only the 2nd time all year, had to keep coming onto the field after turnovers, and only allowed 23 points.

Now they still gave up some big plays & let Diggs crap all over them, but otherwise they did enough to win the game.

The offense wasn't in rthym & Josh was in his own head. The penalties absolutely killed us too. Playing clean, not taking sacks & not turning the ball over is how we've been successful despite lacking a lot of talent, but tonight we didn't do any of that.

Bills scored 17 points in the second half and the Pats scored 17 in the second half. The D did not do enough for 4 quarters just like the O did not do enough for 4 quarters.

Letting them get into FG range in the last 2 minutes when we were tied was brutal. They also let them walk down the field with ease the last 2 minutes before half.  The 3rd down play was brutal. Diggs looked like a ***** all-pro again. BILLS CAN’T COVER! It’s a huge problem.

O sucked as well. Turnovers were a problem. You don’t gotta establish the run for 4 quarters if it ain’T working. Adjust and do what is. Allan had 2 incompletions the first quarter and in the last minutes before half we got backed up to 1st and 20, Josh scrambled for 10 to make up the yards on first down. Then the hand the ball off and put themselves in a 3rd and long. Let him play! We need points and they take it out of his hands.

I’m sick of this conservative play. For a few weeks I said they are letting teams hang around and we were gonna drop one to a lesser opponent. It’s like the want to try to win with Josh playing like Chad Pennington until they need him to be Josh.

I don't think any McD hater including myself is saying that, however, I strongly feel he should have been fired years ago, and every season with him is another year wasted in Josh's quest for a Super Bowl championship.  McD reached his peak several years ago, nothing but regression since with the exception of Josh carrying the team on his shoulders.  I would love to see McD replaced in the off-season with an offence focused coach who would let Josh be Josh and bury teams early instead of slow rolling things like McD does to protect his swiss cheese defences that absolutely suck in crunch time.

Yep. Fire the guy. Then let Terry Pegula lead the search for a new HC..He has done wonderful with that with his other team.

Three strait home games where we struggled against supposedly inferior teams, and now we just gave life to a “new” division rival with an excellent QB and a coach who has shown that he can consistently beat McDermott-coached teams, and we have to listen to Diggs run his mouth because of some “disrespect”, even though the Bills gave him everything he wanted when was here.

This team has some serious problems that have been masked by the 4-0 record, built up against a cupcake schedule.  Nothing ever changes…ALL of the injuries are on defense, conservative game plan that lets an overmatched opponent stick around, no downfield production in the passing game, despite Josh Allen…I’m not sure how this season is going to end any differently than any of the others…

You think that we think being the class of the pathetic AFC East is a compliment?

Well I’d say you still the top team in the AFC as well.. I can’t think of 1 team you can’t beat in the playoffs.

Quality is worse than Zapruder but the Patriots defender was assaulting Shakir before the ball got there.

You can see the ball in the air in this photo, and the Patriot blob of pixels on Shakir’s blob of pixels.

And this is what I can’t stand. A mile from the play they will call weak illegal contact like on Benford tonight. Then a clear penalty that prevents a catch is ignored.

I’m less cranky than I was 6 hours ago, but my concerns remain the same. This is a very very poorly built roster.

Also what the heck happened to Benford this season? He’s playing like JAG.

Maybe it's poor safety play but def second guessing his contract right now.

Part of what's going on with Benford is the Bills complete inability to get a consistent pass rush with ends and tackles.   They got to Maye last night but had to send pressure.   No corner in the league is going to look great having to try and stay in front of wideouts past their original route.

Welp, that was a waste of a C-note on my new Rivalry White out jersey.

You and thousands of others. What a con by the marketing department.

Patriots sure looked every bit as good as the bills to me tonight.

It looks that way now, but watch NE lose to the Saints next week. NE is long way off from going deep in the Playoffs like the Bills.

Buffalo will be there again.
