As someone who is a family of 5 doing their first ever vacation and it's to Disney next year, I can confirm.

And we're going 5 days, but parks only for 3 - and park day passes are by far the most expensive part of the trip.

I'm hoping they come up with a parking lot party area to watch games outside the stadium. Get creative with it, charge some to get in, make it a fun experience for those who can't afford to go in the stadium but still want to enjoy the gameday atmosphere with fellow Bills fans. Make it big enough to hold a couple thousand fans. Maybe have some similarities of being in stadium with bleachers and standing areas.

I went on ticket master to look at ticket prices for some of the games coming to Buffalo because I'd like to go to 1 last game at the Ralph and the cheapest tickets I could find in the nose bleed section started at $362.00 . 

 

My cousin has a friend that is a season ticket holder in the nose bleed section that isn't going to 1 of the games and wants to sell their tickets so he told me and I said yah ill take, them they wanted $700 for 2 tickets I guess that's the going rate .

 

But when I dug a little deeper I found a price that was nearly $400 a ticket which was a resale ticket and was originally on sale for $89 I believe it was .

A family of 4 going to a game at $362 per ticket is crazy.  Insane.  $1500 plus parking and food is vacation money!

The smaller capacity is not that big a deal.  I'm sure they could sell 75-80,000 seats today because the Bills are a white hot commodity in the Josh Allen era.  But it's not too long ago at all there would be swaths of upper deck seats empty.  Anyway, even in the lean years at the new stadium (over the next 30 years) there will still be demand. 

 

The Bears Stadium today only holds 61,500.   Detroit, Vegas, Arizona and Washington are all less than 65,000.  Miami, Cinci, Minnesota, New Eng and Indy are all in the 65-67K range.  I'm tired of hearing how the Bills screwed over the fans by lowering capacity.. Jeez, buy a season ticket or save up and buy some tickets on the secondary market, stop complaining and enjoy.  This ain't Dallas or Los Angeles here.

Realistically the bills did not screw out any fans 

 

We've all been there when our season tickets you couldn't give them away let alone sell them for $25 

 

We've all been there when the upper bowl had plenty of seats unopened 

 

This is about finding a perfect number.. one that works while the bills are great and not great 

 

Realistically the majority of the stadium is going to be season tickets anyways so anybody else has always been paying more

My dad worked at the airport back in those early days. He'd have stories about the Bills player loading bags back then. The exception was Cookie Gilchrist, who always acted 100% The Star.

Even in 1965 in the AFL.. a rookies salary was $9,000 which is equivalent to almost $100,000 today

 

If they worked extra jobs it's because they wanted to not because they actually had to 

 

That's a misconception that they weren't getting paid enough.. in 65 they're getting paid way more than your average job

I looked it up ... the AFL's minimum salary was 9K for rookies, 10K for vets.

But that didn't come until a CBA was ratified in 1968.

Yes, even 9K was a very handsome salary back then, but it wasn't that way in the early 1960s.
