Field Logo & End Zone Change for Tomorrow?

Does anyone know if the field logo and endzones are being changed for the “Rivalry” theme?

 

Dolphins and Cardinals both made field changes. Miami main logo and endzones were changed. Cardinals had Arizona flag type logo in endzones

 

wondering if anyone heard?

Haven't heard but the end zones being whited out would look pretty good for a night game IMO

Probably less likely because of the artificial turf.

I heard on WGR that the endzones would not be changed - too much paint and too slippery - player safety reasons.  So probably no to the field items but there will be other changes around the stadium.

I think the blue endzones and the mid-field logo are sown into the turf. Not a paint job, so changing them would be difficult.

I think they said they're changing the flags at the top of the stadium.

I think DUOLINGO translates “player safety reasons” as “it’s pretty expensive, and doesn’t earn any more money.”   

 

I could be wrong, that happens a lot.

Per wgr this week at some point in the morning show they mentioned that the only changes would be the flags at the top of the stadium and any wrapping on the walls

 

To change the field since it's turf would be dangerous due to amount of white paint needed to cover up a dark color (the other teams that have had rivalry games already had grass fields)

I mean... they could just do some white over the thin red piping in the end zone to make it just blue and white. Or paint that bit of red to silver. Can pressure-wash it off after the game.
 

But... whatever. I'm not a fan of this design anyway. 🤷‍♂️

It’s isn’t difficult to change the artificial field graphics. They literally do it once a week at Met Life and So Fi stadiums where two teams share the field.

The end zone in met life is wholesale replaced from jets to giants.. I assume mid field too. Having those on hand makes it easier. Don’t think we would get special turf for end zones for one game in the last season of the stadium.

One change I wouldn’t mind would be having Josh’s rendition of the Bills logo at midfield, or even on the helmet. We might as well have a sense of humor with all this!

Yep….they typically roll up the turf, and lay new turf down, but they can also use paint. It’s not uncommon to see the shadow of the old logo showing through.

Up thread paint wasn’t desirable based on slippery surface. Custom rivalry end zone and mid field logos do see viable in the new stadium
