Seems like they’re trying to play a mix of McD defense and then all these stunts and blitzes, nobody knows where they need to be. It’s obvious that our scheme is too confusing and complex. It shouldn’t take young players 18 months to learn it. And we play so slow, too cerebral, we need to play hard and fast. 1 1 1 Quote

BillsFan130 Posted Tuesday at 02:28 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:28 AM This should be Babichs last game calling plays for the Bills. Not saying it's all his fault- But just being realistic as McDermott isn't gonna get fired , so something has to change on the defensive side 2 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted Tuesday at 02:32 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:32 AM Babich will 100% be the next fall guy for McDermotts short comings. Unless they plan on bringing in a candidate with a high pedigree than it's a waste because all he does is run McDermotts scheme. 3 2 Quote
Jerome007 Posted Tuesday at 02:34 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:34 AM Defense had an horrible first half. But they adjusted well in the 2nd. With lots of injuries. It's just the overall bad run defense for years now that's so frustrating. And since Babich took over, the open WR in zone defenses. Can Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobido make the difference? Good game by Walker! Quote
WinterSoldier17 Posted Tuesday at 02:34 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:34 AM • Miscommunication • Missed Tackles • Bad Angles • Players out of Position • Poor Effort at times • Soft schemes • Way, Way too many penalties Something and someone needs to change, and they need to change fast. I don’t care if Babich is the scapegoat, but they need to shake things up. 2 Quote
BillsFooteball Posted Tuesday at 02:58 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:58 AM Going to be bye week he needs to at least give up play calling duties to McDermott. Not ideal and I don’t expect a major upgrade but there will be some improvement and that’s a start 1 1 Quote
Old Coot Posted Tuesday at 03:57 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:57 AM The D screwed the pooch big time in the first half. In the second half they adjusted and allowed only 3 points. That's amazing since their two starting LBs were out. 1 Quote
gobills404 Posted Tuesday at 05:43 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:43 AM (edited) This is actually insane. Everybody with a pulse knows Bijan and London are the Falcons only 2 real weapons and they combined for 396 yards from scrimmage. 396 YARDS FROM 2 PLAYERS!!! Every other skill player on the falcons combined for 64 yards. Edited Tuesday at 05:44 AM by gobills404 1 1 1 2 Quote

gobills404 Posted Tuesday at 05:52 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:52 AM (edited) What makes Babich’s struggles even worse is that he was a great coach before he got the job. We got worse at DC and at positional coaching in the back 7 in one move. Edited Tuesday at 06:30 AM by gobills404 1 Quote
davefan66 Posted Tuesday at 08:10 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:10 AM The defense did a good job in the second half. Only gave up 3 points. Considering how many guys we were short going into the game and how many guys we lost during the game, they did ok. Pass rush was decent, but had to temper that with the threat of Bijan going off. Pass defense was not great…Bishop had a bad game. Run defense was abysmal and they can’t tackle. That being said, the defense gutted it out and gave the offense a chance and that is all you can ask for. 3 Quote
Pete Posted Tuesday at 08:33 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:33 AM (edited) Defense did their job. Bills had 3 chances to tie, after Bills D stopped Atlanta. But the offense failed 3 times. Just like the offense failed in the 4th against the Chiefs last year. Once again our weak D gave the offense a chance to win, and our offense failed. Palmer and Shakir are good. We need at least 2 more solid outside WR, preferably 3 more. Offense needs play makers besides Josh and Cook. Edited Tuesday at 08:33 AM by Pete 1 1 Quote
Dr.Sack Posted Tuesday at 08:36 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:36 AM Allen said it best in postgame throw accurate passes when they are in man. I see a QB struggling with accuracy issues and timing. 1 Quote

I don’t care if Babich is the scapegoat, but they need to shake things up. And those huge gaping spaces and holes in both the secondary and on the line, for both the run and the pass have become Babich's calling card, his most consistent accomplishment to put on his resume now. He needs to lead with that, as that is the most consistent aspect of his defense almost 1.5 years into his tenure. Looked like the worst defense in the league in the first half and to me it was almost exactly the same way they looked against the Ravens, the fish, and the Saints--like a bottom 3 defense, like the cowgirls' defense. Almost no defense at all, the other team doing what it wanted at will, when and where they wanted. So when I think of more words define a Babbich defense, beyond the obvious, the lack of discipline, the horrible tackling, players consistently out of position, scary bad against the run...the words huge gaping holes sums it up, and fairly consistently. I realize the Bills have other problems too, but Babbich is a team killer, a dorsey, who cannot be allowed to continue as a defensive coordinator as he does not how to prepare his players, scheme well, or call a good defense. If Babich is still on the Bills' staff as DC by tomorrow I will be angry. If he is still on the staff a few days after the bye furious, as the season will be as lost, over, just as if McD had let the other incompetent coordinator finish the year a few years ago. Time to go. And the sooner the better. Literally, the Bills now must cut their losses. They owe loyalty to their players, the staff, the other, competent coaches, and the fans--not to one man who is clearly failing. And like Dorsey, is in waaaaaaaayy over his head. 1 Quote
