Not saying it's all his fault- But just being realistic as McDermott isn't gonna get fired , so something has to change on the defensive side

Babich will 100% be the next fall guy for McDermotts short comings. Unless they plan on bringing in a candidate with a high pedigree than it's a waste because all he does is run McDermotts scheme.

Defense had an horrible first half. But they adjusted well in the 2nd. With lots of injuries. It's just the overall bad run defense for years now that's so frustrating. And since Babich took over, the open WR in zone defenses. Can Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobido make the difference?

Going to be bye week he needs to at least give up play calling duties to McDermott. Not ideal and I don’t expect a major upgrade but there will be some improvement and that’s a start

The D screwed the pooch big time in the first half.

 

In the second half they adjusted and allowed only 3 points. That's amazing since their two starting LBs were out.

This is actually insane. Everybody with a pulse knows Bijan and London are the Falcons only 2 real weapons and they combined for 396 yards from scrimmage. 396 YARDS FROM 2 PLAYERS!!! Every other skill player on the falcons combined for 64 yards.

What makes Babich’s struggles even worse is that he was a great coach before he got the job. We got worse at DC and at positional coaching in the back 7 in one move.

The defense did a good job in the second half.  Only gave up 3 points.

 

Considering how many guys we were short going into the game and how many guys we lost during the game, they did ok.

 

Pass rush was decent, but had to temper that with the threat of Bijan going off. Pass defense was not great…Bishop had a bad game. Run defense was abysmal and they can’t tackle.

 

That being said, the defense gutted it out and gave the offense a chance and that is all you can ask for.

Defense did their job.  Bills had 3 chances to tie, after Bills D stopped Atlanta.  But the offense failed 3 times.

Just like the offense failed in the 4th against the Chiefs last year.  Once again our weak D gave the offense a chance to win, and our offense failed.  Palmer and Shakir are good.  We need at least 2 more solid outside WR, preferably 3 more.  Offense needs play makers besides Josh and Cook.

As the saying goes, you can’t fire the players, so I believe Babich is done.
