Slack_in_MA Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Pats corners are pretty good. Take advantage of the middle of the field where they’re weaker. Pass rush must show up and not let Maye get comfortable. He’s pretty accurate when given time. 1 1 1 Quote

Run the football and control the clock and throw in play action passing to keep the D honest. The only way IMO to win is to limit the amount of touches Allen and your O has. On D stop Cook and contain Allen in the pocket try make the Bills 1 dimensional and our secondary is SUPPOSE to be our D strength and we have a very good front 4 as well.. my fear is Allen even if they do this right is going feast on our LB covering your 2 TE. 1 Quote

Maybe it's the 17 years of no playoffs, the wind game, them beating us a few years ago, etc. I don't ever take NE laying down. They are better than Miami and NY for sure. I respect their coach, and their QB seems competent if not good. I don't trust our defense and we can't throw down field. With the injuries we heard about today, it just makes me more worried. Just be focused, don't turn the ball over, take this team seriously, be ready to score, and expect a grind. I wish we would destroy them. I want that. Ha. Go Bills! I agree with almost all of this. But I'm not convinced we can't throw downfield. When we needed to throw downfield in the 4th against the Ravens, we did so with spectacular results. It's also worth noting that we play against a lot of nickel with two deep safeties. Opponents are more-or-less letting us beat them with Cook's 4 & 5-yard carries, but they're determined not to let us dice them up with Josh's deep throws. Having said all that, we don't have elite wideouts and I'm not sure the downfield passing game is Brady's forte. So maybe there's some truth to what you said. But Brady is good at taking what defenses give him and puts a lot of points on the board. Quote
Buffalo Ballin Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This game is gonna be a close tough battle. Patriots defense is pretty nice. 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago @PatsFanNH, for what it's worth, I appreciate you taking part in our discussion of the game. It's nice to get another perspective, especially when I haven't watched a Pats game yet this year. 1 Quote

Sports books don’t like to lose money and right now the Ravens are around +1000 while the Patriots are between +10,000 and 15,000 to win the Super Bowl. This means nothing when you suit up and take the field…Just look at the Saints last week…I would not be shocked if the Bills lost their first game this week or next…Any given Sunday… 1 2 Quote

And even then...most of the current players weren't here in 2019 to experience what Foxboro was like during the Brady years then in 2020 when the "worm turned". Allen, Dawkins, Reid Ferguson, Taron Johnson, Milano, Tre White - that's about all, I think. Would’ve been awesome to see a prime Allen face off against Brady. Quote
Big Blitz Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Found this funny - he left out the season that is currently only 4 weeks old. Even they don’t know how “good” they may be. I expect to beat the ***t out of this team. Edited 6 hours ago by Big Blitz 1 Quote

See Packers, Browns. I am saying the Ravens are far superior. The Bills play their A game, they beat NE. That isn’t necessarily true with Baltimore. Quote
RunTheBall Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) New England is awful against the pass especially in their base personnel. I expect a LOT of heavy sets with multiple TEs/RBs. Since the spine of their defense is the weak point (LBs suck and safeties are meh), passing out of heavy personnel while attacking the middle of the field is the way to beat them. I don’t think you waste a coverage guy to spy Maye. I expect a lot of Tampa 2 like coverages with eyes in the backfield, keeping everything in front, and Bernard can crash down from the middle of the field if Maye looks like he’s taking off. I loved the rush package Spags used against Lamar, rushing 4 but one guy held back at the line to mirror Lamar. Unfortunately, our pass rush has been so anemic that I don’t think we could get away with it unless Groot decides to show up for a game. Edited 2 hours ago by RunTheBall Quote

Tackling has been poor, but it improved last game. 1 Quote

Those are literally the odds right now. 🤣🤣 Vegas didn’t build those big buildings losing money. Y’all are riding high after beating a couple of horrible teams but it remains FACT that you have to bet $1800 to win $100 on the Bills to win the division. It is, BY FAR, the biggest gap from the best team in a division to the 2nd best team in a division. Know your role and stay in your lane… So, how much money did you wager on this game? I knew what the odds were since Monday, but thanks for the facts. Quote

Right, but what I don't see acknowledged very often is how the running game set up those deep passes in the Baltimore game. There's a reason things suddenly opened up in the fourth quarter: the Ravens defenders were exhausted from the pounding. You get less points early maybe, but the payoff comes later. Plus, play action (which I think Brady should do more of) should in theory allow even the Bills wide receivers to get some separation. But I think you're right that the teams we've seen so far prefer Cook's effective runs to Allen's long completions. The trick is to make them pay for that choice. Quote

Does this line of thinking make you sleep better at night? Or make you feel better about the fortunes of your team in the AFCE? A LOT has to happen before Maye can hold a candle to Allen and your Pats challenge for the division. Aint happening this year. Fans of other teams who come to this board often have a balanced view of the game and players. You clearly came here to somehow throw random numbers and pass them off as "facts" to support some weird takes. The numbers are not random. Frankly, I don't care about who the MVP is. I want Maye to win Super Bowls. Quote

Is he Allen? Heck no! But he is a good up and coming QB with a ton of potential who feels like the next franchise QB.. (he showed flashes last year with a garbage OC and HC) I wish there was a way to post all of your stats and facts ( and they are all facts , you’re not just a blowhard Homer of your team) on the Bills Bulletin board so that they come out and Shellac the Pats. i will give you my opinion that is not based on facts that’s why it’s my opinion: the Bills will score on their first drive and set a tone. Allen ,Cook , and Brady will have heard that they won’t be able to run on the Pats Defense. I expect Cook to have 180 all purpose yards ( 100 on the ground and 80 out of the backfield) I think that The Tight Ends for the Bills have themselves a night down the seam and catch at least 2 tds. I think the middle of the Patriots Defense is exploitable and the Best QB in the league will have a field day in the underneath passing game which is the Bills strength and no one executes that style of play better in the NFL than Buffalo. The Bills are hearing all this stuff about the Patriots being good and taking it seriously. The Bills play well under the lights and on Prime Time at Home. I think this game will be too much for Maye as the Pats will play from Behind the whole game. Maye will force the issue after the run game works for the pats in the first quarter but will get abandoned as the Bills offense is too good and will keep hanging points every possession. Drake Maye will throw 2 picks and in the end the Bills defense although putrid against the run will have 2 key takeaways and the game gets away from N.E by the end of the 3rd quarter. . I think the Bills will remind the Patriots who owns this division Still Sunday Night. MY Prediction. is Bills 38 Patriots 17 my two cents. Quote
